Hey everyone!
This month's update is live, and it's a big one: custom spider and cave spider models, plus a major rework pass focused on making vanilla builds blend more naturally.
This month, I built fully custom geometry for the spider and cave spider, the first time we've gone custom on.
THE BIG REWORKS
The theme this month was seamlessness. A few areas where vanilla textures created visible repetition or jarring colour breaks have been rebuilt:
Sand — significantly less prone to visible tiling. This was the
one I'm most excited about; it's been on my list for months.
Cobblestone & mossy cobblestone — smoother colour blend across
large surfaces
Planks (oak, acacia, spruce, dark oak, pale oak) — recoloured and reworked
to give villages a richer, more lived-in feel
Logs (acacia, spruce, jungle), bricks, stone bricks, andesite,
chiselled stone bricks — all reworked for better blending
Dirt path, vines, ice — reworked
✨ TARGETED UPDATES
- Gold block — now displays correctly on shaders with weaker PBR
support (no more flat gold blob)
- Chest, jungle leaves, resin, creaking heart, chicken texture —
refinements
- Custom chicken model added
