Sorry for the radio silence on this game I've been working on it, the main problem I ran into was that I wasn't really happy with how the adventure code was working as well as I finally learned how to have UI work the way I've been wanting it to. The amount of work needed to incorporate the proper coding to the UI that was made would have been too much work that just starting from scratch.what has changed.firstly the game is a complete rework on the inside but It will play the same.
secondly, the games camera is 3rd person now, this is so you can see the 3D models better. also 3D models have been integrated once I have animation finished I can work on the character visual editing.third I have reworked how adventures work entirely along with Customers. taking inspiration form Miitopia there are personalities now then attaching a Disco Elysium internal stat rolls for the character to decide what activity they can do and weather or not what vice for the adventurers to fall into. I want to have a way to have control on making their decisions more but I need to figure out how to properly do the inn facilities work properly. I'm also floating around the Idea of adventure party wealth and affinity system between the party members. I have the affinity system made but I don't know what to really do with it outside the combat functions I can do with it.other than that I am making the town now after I finish uptown I'll make the interiors and have the shops work the way that I want to. I also still need to reinstall the dungeon build system along with the UI. The Mid Town level might be made to look like the uptown level, I'm not happy with the models as well as the size of the level is too big so I'll have to fix that, but that's for later.after I have the levels completed and test out the new adventure system. I will post an update with everything I have done.ALSO, I have managed to put together the combat system I need to work it over a bit more as well as seeing a way to make somethings work smoother but all in all I think it's pretty solid for right now.again sorry for the lack of updates but that's how it's been. Most of the time was trying to get the combat to work as well as the AI for that combat. There is surprisingly very few details on making action games that isn't Zelda things such as knock back, attack momentum, juggles, bounces, animation links and input queuing is relatively ignored by the internet as a whole. The ones that do know how to keeps it to themselves. Rant over, again thanks for being patient I'll do my best to get the update out before the month is over.
I have a personal goal to have a lot of things that I have in the works done before the summer starts this game is one of them. future plans is to have special Adventures come it, pre-made characters with their own custom models, dialogue and combat skills.
