Hi! I finished the move about three weeks ago and finished up on pretty much all the post-move errands last week, and have been catching up since then. Things were way more arduous than I thought they would be, but I'm happy that I finally have some things to share today!Rogue Princess is getting a bunch of little system changes, like fleshing out Gale and Athena's stat-related things and tying them further into gameplay. I want there to be a tug of war between raising and lowering stats which should feed into the "wow, keeping my cute adventuring partner out of trouble is hard!" fantasy the game's aiming for without being annoying.

Athena will do things like walk towards enemies if they fall under her preferences. She'll even gush about them if Gale asks her questions! Maybe even describe the feeling in vivid detail while-- nvm spoilers
The preference list will fill up on a chance and swap out depending on which enemy grabs her. The chance increases with each time the preference appears, so it may be hard to get her to quit... Especially with enemies who gang up on her increasing the base chance further!By the way, preference levels will also increase Desire gain.Respect (formerly love) will also get a handful of neat features, like influencing when Athena will snap out of it when walking towards enemies, whether or not she's mean (hot) to Gale during certain scenes, etc.High Respect means you treat Athena well and/or you're good at the gameLow Respect is more or less the opposite, you're a noob AND a bad partner...Get those impressive room clears up and don't leave Athena behind if you want her respect!

On top of all that stat stuff, some enemies can throw a wrench in this whole system! Watch out for Lanterns who just want to scramble Athena's brain for fun!That's all, folks! Now that we're back on track, see you in the next couple of weeks.
