How exactly are they related?

Steviebear Maxwell told us that Pop Thermopoulos had this old photo of "great-aunt" Rose, who was a Hippie Nude Deer.  But the Thermopouloses are some sort of antelope ... my eyebrows slowly raise at the implications.
