Finally! Buttons for chat navigation!
Now it's possible to go back and try different paths in conversations without having to delete anything!
Well, let's start by understanding what each button does.
Only 3 buttons, but is very complex! It took me a while to understand the possibilities. So take some time to see how each button reacts in your chats.
Checkpoint / Rewind / Rollback button
This button has two functions. (don't be confused by the name, it can be called in different ways because it can be used for several things, but it is only one button)
1. The main one is to be able to go backwards in the chat, making a rollback or going backwards in the chat.
2. It reloads the reply candidates in the selected message. That is the checkpoint.
Forward button
The forward button, usually located on all reply candidates, is used to select the message. This is useful for two things.
1. Choose the answer candidate to answer, without making a mistake, because all the answers are displayed in cascade.
2. To advance the answer because we have already used it before and it contains some answers that we have already made.
But! Be careful with this, because if you want to generate another answer candidate (our answer to the IA message, i.e. a fork), then you should not select the answer with the forward button. Just select the message as you would normally do. I know it sounds complicated, but with a little use, it is easy to master and understand. The only bad thing, which makes me lazy to do, is to have the buttons indicate that there are a certain number of messages linked as "candidates". Maybe in the future... what a laziness...
Delete button
Yes, it removes candidates from replies. For AI or User.
For the delete button to appear on your messages, you need to use the button to load the checkpoint to a message before yours (it can be the IA's).
