Heyo everyone, I’m going to be making some changes to Patreon moving forwards, starting on June 1st. I’ll go into detail about each of the changes below, but first I want to start on a more personal note.
Gosh, it's been over 8 years since I started using Patreon now, and it’s been quite a fun journey! A journey I’ve only been able to undertake thanks to you all, so, before we get into the details and changes, I want to take a moment to thank you all for the amazing love and support you’ve given me over these years, There’s been ups and downs, and you guys have been incredibly supportive and understanding through it all. And it's hard to express just how much that means to me, I’m truly grateful to be part of this community, and I’ll keep doing my best to create things that you all can enjoy. ^^
But anyways, onto the changes:
Tier price changes (for new members only)
If you’re already a member: this change won’t apply to you. Like I said at the start, I’m incredibly grateful to all of you, and I don't wish to make you pay more. The price changes won’t be retroactive, so you’ll be able to stay in your current tier, paying the same amount you have been paying so far.
For new members: Starting on the 1st of June I’ll be increasing the $1 Tier to $2usd , and the $5 tier to $7usd. The $10 and $15 usd tiers will remain unchanged.
I’ve been reluctant to change my tier prices for these 8 years, but I believe this is a way to update the prices to what they should be moving onwards, but without it affecting the people that are already supporting me.
Request Streams are being discontinued:
This was a hard choice to make, but from June 1 onwards I’ll be discontinuing the request streams (Both the supporter only one, and the public one).
The intent of this Patreon has always been to focus on projects that can be enjoyed and created with the input of all my supporters, be they comics, animations or the monthly images, and the streams have always only benefited a small percentage of you every month, a percentage that shrinks as the Patreon grows.
I’m also hoping this will allow me to focus more of my efforts into the projects that benefit every subscriber, as well as pushing the quality of the images, comic and animations. This means that the request streams I do during the month of May will be the last ones, although I may still do streams where I work on Patreon work or personal art.
Aaand that's all! Sorry for the super long update, but there was a lot to go through! All of these changes won’t take effect till June 1, so May will still play out like the previous months did.
