Hi, how are we doing :)
Sorry it took this long, by the way. This was A LOT harder than I anticipated, but I believe the hardest part is finally out of the way.
This early access update better integrates Smooth Patch 2.0 into MasterController.
New features
- Tons of issues you guys have been experiencing by having both MC and Smooth Patch 2.0 installed should be solved, such as strange regressions when using the Sim Bin in MC CAS or hairstyles not showing up, among other things.
- Multiple MC features like blacklisting, part sort order and multiple accessories per region now work correctly.
- An issue where sometimes you couldn't click on clothing items has been solved. This happened notably when choosing shoes for male teenager sleepwear, the game would lag and the clothing window would be completely frozen.
To-do/Known issues
- Show in compact form for clothes still doesn't take effect.
- There is an odd issue where it's impossible to click things near the left of the clothing grid window, making it difficult to switch clothing categories in dresser and stylist without having to close the clothes window completely. I'm looking into it still.
Installation
Extract the .zip archive into your "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages" folder. If you don't use NRaas MasterController, you can safely remove the "ld_SmoothPatch_MasterController.package" file. Otherwise, keep both files in.
You will still need to install the latest 1.x version of Smooth Patch alongside this one for the best experience, you can find it HERE.
Tuning and Troubleshooting
If you open the "ld_SmoothPatch.package" file with S3PE, you will see a "LazyDuchess.SmoothPatch.Tuning" XML resource.
You can edit it to, for example, disable the CAS music fix if it makes music behave erratically in CAS for you. You could also disable the MasterController support, but I don't think that will be necessary anymore as they now work together!
