With the v0.7 release, Maya's Mission... is officially complete! The game is now fully playable from start to finish with 5 different endings to enjoy. I am going to do one more [FINAL] update after this, which will add trophies, some extra posters, collectables, outfits, new main menu screen etc, and I'll go over the entire game and tighten everything up.Now might be a good time for a replay from the start, or at least from the beginning of day 4. Otherwise the first time you see the Mike Hawk sprites in action will be when you see him in court, and it could feel a bit abrupt, plus there's some nuance that might be missed...ANYWAYS, GO AND PLAY THE GAME RIGHT NOW!You've all contributed to this great work by supporting me, and you should feel proud of yourselves, thank you all so much. <3 Please let me know if you find any bugs and I'll squash them! There's a guide in the game folder (credit to @Sen) if you need it, but please try not to use it :3==========================================================================Now time for a little rant...Working on the second half of the courtroom section was a challenge, but it was a lot of fun too. This is where Mike Hawk's true character is revealed to the player, and crafting his dialogue felt a bit like building a house. Laying the foundations and building the structure was heavy work, but brick by brick it comes together. "Decorating the house", ie refining his personality and mannerisms is where it gets tricky. I'm happy with how he turned out though, I think he's just the right mix of believable and unhinged to pass as a genuine Mochi-fied Ace Attorney character. Kamikazoo did an amazing job with the sprites and I genuinely couldn't be happier. There's a few places near the end of the trial where you can instantly lose, due to a wrong decision, missing your opportunity, or even because of misdirection/red herrings! I worried a little that some non-native English speakers might struggle with stuff like that, so I implemented an easy mode option at the start of the game which lets you rollback during the trial (and also skip the flappy bird bit in the middle XD).Also, near the VERY end of the trial, the player has to make a pivotal statement, (keeping it vague here, but I bet you'll know what I mean) and it's a moment I envisioned when I came up with the concept of Maya's MIssion a few years ago. It makes me so happy to see my long held plans fall into place, and this is a piece of advice to you dear reader: hold your vision in mind and work towards it persistently, and it will come to pass.Gallery is FINALLY done, after much fucking around and 5 different people working on it! Have a play around and see what you think, also try right clicking on the character in the outfits section for a little surprise. :] Try out the new unlockable outfit after you've completed the game too!

NOTE: If there's anything else you'd like to see in the game, and it's within my scope, please tell me ASAP, because this is IT. Today begins my FINAL Maya's Mission development cycle, until who knows when, maybe forever.

But please don't cry because it's ending, smile because it happened! I always feel a little philosophical at the end of a project like this, because it's like... ending a toxic relationship. I've been working on this fucking game every single fucking day for two years and three months, I worked on this game at my dying mother's bedside while she rested, I started working on this game when I was closer to 30 years old and now I'm closer to 40 years old. You know!?

Anyway, what's next? Probably another 2 months of Maya's Mission development, I'll see if I can get some IRL cards made, I'll extract the Maya's Mission/Ace Attorney game engine for Renpy and publish it, and then... something different. I'll make another post soon to keep you all abreast of what I'm considering. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere, lots more cool shit to come! >:]Well, that's it for now, what a journey it's been! Please let me know what you thought of Maya's Mission, ilu all <3

-Your humble servant, Mochi

PS: Thank you to all my Discord mods, the beta testers, the artists and programmers that I've worked with, and everyone who's supported me for making this thing happen!
