I leaned closer to Scarlett and whispered, “Keep in mind the Academy unofficially asked me to host this year. Apparently, they wanted some young talent to boost the younger audience members.”
“You shouldn’t have declined,” she whispered back. “It would’ve been so cool to see you up on stage.”
“Any other year, I might’ve considered it, but not this one. Not when Harry Potter is so favored to win multiple awards. People would’ve cried favoritism and all that.”
