The g43x shoots flatter and returns faster/more naturally than the g48 in my hands. I suspect it’s the same reasons why the g19 does the same for me vs the g17 and g34. Sometimes less is more. Dots make sight radius considerations a point. Those that can see fast enough to slide or dot track through recoil tend to gravitate towards the shorter guns- most I know choose the 17 over the 34. Many choosing the 19 over the 17 based mostly of perception of speed of dot return.
