Hello again everyone! While working on some of the new features listed in the previous post, I realized the code was a bit of a mess. While it may not be obvious, the website was suffering from a lot of repeated code and a bit of disorganization. Fortunately, I have been working the past week cleaning it up quite a bit.
Also for those interested, I have moved the website away from Github Pages and currently in the process of moving from Jekyll. They were somewhat limiting me with what I wanted to add to the site. So once that process is complete, we should be seeing more frequent site improvements. π
Recent Additions
- Reverse Toggle for Each Verb & Adjective Page (Doesn't work with kanji mode just yet! Sorry! π)
- Adjective + γͺγ Practice
- Conditional Adjectives
- Volitional Adjectives
- Kanji Meaning/Readings Practice (Just N5 for now)
- Minor Visual Updates
I am also working on a Transitive/Intransitive Verb Pair Practice Page. It's currently being tested and functional, but just needs to be populated with verb data (which takes most of the time). So look forward to that soon! π
Upcoming Content Plans
After I finish migrating and cleaning up the website, I want to start adding practice content that corresponds to content from the Genki books. Ideally, I want to add content similar to that of the Genki workbooks, but more interactive. Eventually, the website will become more of a helpful practice companion to Japanese textbook learning.
