''A Halloween Themed story i wrote, i was not able to upload it yesterday due to me not having internet connection till today, sorry for the delay but new stories and drawings are comming down this way, thank you for all the support guys, love you all''
The sun is setting up, the night arrives slowly engulfing the fields in a light darkness and the stars calmly appear in the night sky. A group of four kids were playing between the fields of pumpkins, three of them were laughing happily while running and yelling ‘’Let’s go, let’s go, before the old man knows where in here’’ meanwhile the last one of them a young girl didn’t looked as happy as the other kids.
-This is dangerous guys, what if Mr. Jenkins catches us, while playing? I don’t want to be scolded by my parents and then grounded. I want to be able to go trick or treating. –The little girl pouted-.
The oldest of the boys, only by one year, apparently the leader of the party reassured her that everything was gonna be okay.
-No need to worry, were just gonna have some fun and then we’ll leave. Also when has a bunch of spooky stories hurt anyone?
The boy gave a gentle smile to the girl and then grabbed her by the hand. This made the girl blush a bit, they’ve been best friends since kindergarten and now she has a little crush on him, she always liked how much he protected her and made her feel safe no matter what.
-O-okay, let’s go before it gets darker.
The boy leaded the way while still holding her hand and the other two kids followed them, till they reached a part of the field that had a space without pumpkin plants, only a few blocks of hey where they decided to take a seat so they could start telling the stories and a few harvested pumpkins.
The first story was about the usual man that had a hook on his hand and after being accidentally run over by a group of teenagers on a car and being left for dead decided to take revenge on the foolish teenagers one by one.
The second story was a lame story of a haunted house where the house tricks a group of kids making them think their beloved toys are inside waiting for them, till the house gets all of them and eats them, leaving only their clothes behind on their lawn.
The last story was told by the leader of the group.
‘’This story takes place right in this field, on a night just like this one, a bunch of kids decided to go inside the pumpkin field and step on some of the pumpkins just because they were bored, they stepped on all the pumpkins they could, till their clothes where covered in pumpkin seeds and juices, until they heard the sound of a shotgun.
The owner of the field decided to take revenge on the kids for destroying his business. The savings of his whole life were invested in that batch of pumpkins. The one supposed to save him from bankrupt and his debt with the bank.
One by one the old man trapped the kids and after getting them inside his house, he decided to cut off their heads then when he finished his slaughter, he decided to carve all the heads and put them on display with a candle inside, just like if they were the pumpkins they decided to destroy that fateful night.
A few days later the police found the remains of the kids, all their bodies had a pumpkin sewed where their heads used to be. Sadly the heads where never found by the police, so they decided to bury their remains still wearing those pumpkins.
But there is more, rumors say those kids are still wandering these same fields, looking for their heads so they can finally rest in peace, you must be careful though, because if you find yourself in front of one of the kids that wear a pumpkin on their necks, you must run immediately, because they’ll think you’re the old man and they’ll try to take your head instead as vengeance for what he did to them.’’
-L-like if I was going to believe in a story like that, t-that never happened.
-Are you sure about that?
The girl felt a pair of hands touching her neck and the boy pointed behind the scared girl, which she slowly turned around, ending face to face with a kid wearing a pumpkin where their head should be. The girl screamed her lungs out from the sudden apparition and was about to cry but suddenly the pumpkin headed kid started laughing, the other two kids followed the one wearing the pumpkin and started laughing their asses off too.
-OH MY GOD HAHAHAHAHA!! Y-YOU FEEL FOR IT! HAHAHAHAHA!!
-YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR FACE BWAHAHAHAHA!
The three kids kept laughing while the girl felt embarrassed and angry, she didn’t liked this kind of pranks and was about to scold the boys when she noticed something strange, the pumpkin that the kid was wearing started glowing up like if it had a candle inside it, then the kid wearing it stopped laughing and made a confused noise.
-E-Emil what is goi…!?
The girl tried to call the leader’s attention but it was too late, the two other kids stopped laughing when they saw their friend’s head being spitted out by the pumpkin’s mouth like if it was a watermelon seed.
The pale and confused head landed on Emil’s lap, it blinked twice before the kid got up and screamed, making the head of his friend fall to the ground. The other kid was more worried about his friend’s pumpkin headed body that started twitching after a moment of being immobile.
The girl was horrified by the scene she just witnessed, one of her friend’s head was now lying on the floor, still blinking from time to time.
-W-what kind of sick joke is this one E-emil?
The girl asked worriedly but she had to wait for an answer, the pumpkin headed body jumped on top of the other kid, ripped his head off with its pumpkin mouth and spitted it out, the surprised head fell next to the other one both heads now facing each other.
-T-this is not a joke…
Emil barely answered as they saw their other friend’s headless body flail his arms trying to find it’s now missing head where it used to be, then fall down to the ground twitching and still moving its arms as a reflex.
The unresponsive young girl was now frozen still, barely breathing after what she just saw, thankfully the boy reacted quick and grabbed the girl by her hand and moved her from where she was standing started running away from that cursed place, just a few seconds before the pumpkin headed body jumped at her direction. The pumpkin creature saw as the two kids ran away but decided not to follow them instead it grabbed another pumpkin from the field and pressed it on top of the headless body. The body twitched for a few second and then got up.
A face just like the one carved on the other pumpkin appeared and it started glowing, the pumpkin has already assimilated the body and is now ready to hunt the remaining kids.

-T-that was close...
Said the kid still catching his breath after running for a few minutes and hiding into a barn with his childhood friend then she started sobbing softly after catching up her breath too.
-we’ll make it out of this, I promise, I will protect you no matter what.
The boy hugged the sobbing girl and gently pressed her face against his chest, thus calming her, so she hugged the boy and softly told him about her feelings.
-E-emil, i-I like you, I don’t want this feelings to go untold, i-I want you to know what I feel for you before things end for…?
CHOMP!!
Just as she was about to finish talking, she felt Emil’s arms stop hugging her then go limp next to her.
-Emil? W-what is wrong?
The girl stopped pressing her face against the boy’s chest and glanced towards the kid’s face. Sadly one of the pumpkin headed boys had bitten off his head and was now staring directly at her. The girl pushed Emil’s now headless body away making the pumpkin headed creature trip, having the headless body fall on top of it and smashing the pumpkin in the act.
The pumpkin creature spitted Emil’s head out in the girl’s direction before being smashed by the limp headless body, instinctively the girl grabbed the head before it hit her in the belly, the boy’s face had a shocked expression, it all happened too fast for him to realize he was done for then he looked at the girl directly into her eyes.
-I-I’m sorry, I wasn’t able to protect you this time Rose…
Rose got frightened and almost dropped the head of her crush, how was the head still able to talk? She asked herself.
-Y-you’re still alive Emil!?
-Y-yeah, it seems that the creature didn’t kill me?
-WAIT! T-that means the boys are still alive too!? We can still save the…!
-ROSE BEHIND YOU!!
Emil tried warning the girl but it was too late, the second pumpkin creature sneaked behind her and chopped her head off with its mouth.

When the girl woke up she recognized the other kids and Emil’s heads lying next to her, she was about to scream but realized that her mouth was now covered by pumpkin roots. She lost any hope of being able to escape from that place and things where about to get worse, she saw her body now wearing a pumpkin and walking next to the other pumpkin headed kids in her direction, her body kneeled down in front of her.
-Thank you for the bodies kids…. now rest for eternity, you’ll become the nutrients for our kind. We’ll conquer this ugly world.
The pumpkin creature let go a gentle groan and got up then the roots started covering the faces of the bodiless kids, Rose’s last sight was her body holding the headed pumpkin hand of her once crush before it all got dark and she started to fall into a deep slumber.
