Update 27 May 2024: Updated the version. Nothing major but adjusted the tolerance. This now works perfectly for my printer, everyones may vary slightly.
Update: So after playing around further with these items, as I should have expected each printer has different tolerances. Therefore you may need to adjust the file slightly. The file labelled Jan 2024 are the files I am using on my Ender S1
Hey all,
New item for you, this has actually been planned for a while, but didn't find time to get around to it.
I'm calling it a NATO40 breakaway. To put it simply, it allows a push fit connector for NATO40 attachments. I had two uses in mind:
The first is safety. Using gas masks and breath play can be very dangerous. Obviously each user is responsible for their own safety, but any tool which can improve safety the better. This device can be fitted within your system and if things get a bit much, you just pull the bit apart and allow fresh air into the system.
Secondly, I thought this would be good tool for easily swapping between attachments. I get fed up a lot of the time, trying to unscrew various attachments, Now I can just pull them off, and load up another.
This is still a WIP and I am still dialling in the correct resistance as the two parts are held together by friction. But would love to know your thoughts on the concept. If you try it out, let me know what you would change
