[Before I go on - I'm just going to come out and say it - the world is extremely messed up right now and I'm very disheartened whenever I look at the news.
We've just cancelled our only Crimson Veil show this year because Scardust (who we were supporting) are stuck in Isreal... We are still hoping to press on with some video shoots, but it all depends if Anna can get here from Cyprus.
Things are indeed very unstable, and I'm feeling the anxiety of not knowing what the future looks like. I hope you are all safe and ok, but if you are feeling the doom, let me know.

Ok. Back to art, music and a new tattoo.
Yesterday I got inked.
It was a sore one - right on the solar plexus, but after the pain subsided, I was over the moon with how it looks.
I chose that particular place because I feel all my energy comes from that part of my body - it's where I breathe for singing, it's where all my tension is held when I'm nervous, and it's where I feel my emotions too. I hold my hands there when I'm excited, I feel my intuition there, and whenever wear any tight clothing there, I get horrible cramps. For me it's the most powerful part of my body, and I wanted to celebrate it.
I wanted to have a symbol of energy going outwards in all directions, as that's sometimes how I feel I am. A constant pushing force that's desperate to create!
However - in the middle of the tattoo there is a space firmly protected by a magick circle, and a unicursal hexagram, symbolising balance, patience, calm.
The sigil in the very centre represents the two sides of my creativity - one forceful, chaotic and strong, the other reflective, soft and thoughtful.
It was hard to place it on my body. Like all bodies, mine is fairly wonky so lining it up was the biggest challenge!
My regular tattooist is a lovely guy called Woody. We've known each other many years but it had been some time since I'd been inked.
Woody takes my half-baked doodles and turns them into beautiful art, it's always such a surprise to see them come to life.
