Hey everyone!These are the test pics I made for the Mr. Norman comic.
I'm assuming (most) of you will be familiar with my workflow by now, but if you're not, this is the gist of it:- I fuck around in Daz and make one or two characters;- I come up with a plot that makes sense for the characters I created and write it into a script (which I always publish at the end of a comic run, you can read Mr. Norman's in its final post);- I make the rest of the characters in Daz, start to figure out how to technically handle the transformation, and put the final touches on the first characters I've made;- I render everything in Daz;- I work on the speech bubbles in Clip Studio Paint;- I work on the fx in Indesign, and that's it.
This time around, though, I wrote the script before working on the characters, for some reason, and I ended up liking most of these characters right away, so that's why you don't see any test pics with different hairstyles or clothes as usual.
There were also *a lot* characters this time around! I usually have 2 or 3, but this time I had 5 (not counting Mr. Carlson and counting Bri and Mr. Norman as the same character)! Which made handling these Daz files and rendering them quite a pain, as my pc is not all that strong.I've got to say, though, that I'm pretty happy with how these characters turned out, and I'd love to revisit them eventually, especially a couple of the students...
