Hey everyone!This week, I've got a some bonus images from Dark Magic!
Let's go through them:
We're starting off with our main characters as we know them, and then looking at Jake's descent into darkness. I didn't end up using that dress for Jake's final form as it didn't really fit the office scene, but I quite liked the look. Also, a couple different hair style for that form, I liked the wavy hair but ultimately it didn't fit the character's vibe.
Then, it's Luna's turn. If you look at the file name (not sure if you can do that), you'll see she was initially known as "Nerd", "Party" and "Vampire", this is because I created that character before writing the story, and then went from there. If you've read the other BTS posts I've made, you'll be familiar with my process, but basically, my characters come before their stories. I think it makes sense for transformation storytelling, 'cause what I'm asking myself when writing the story is how to setup the obvious transormation in a way that's exciting and hot. Hopefully I did that with Dark Magic. Anyway, yeah, it's always kind of a struggle to find clothing that is normal looking for Daz, as it's all just porn outfits and slutty dresses, so it was tough to dress Luna in something that wasn't ridiculous (and, to be fair, her final outfit is still very much ridiculous, but I really did try to find something as normal looking as I could).
And, I've never really done this before, but I thought it would be fun to post these 3 finale images. The first one is me trying to figure out how to frame the mirror reflection (the "wip" handwriting is kinda funny to me, idk), the second one is a mistake I didn't catch until editing (it was very late and I was losing my mind, but how could I not notice Mike having his penis out through his clothes?? haha), the third one is a render I made to take Jake's final shadow to make Chapter 2's cover (in hindsight, it's really funny I ended up changing Jake's final outfit, as that cover doesn't really make sense now, but that's just life I guess) and the fourth one is the Chapter 1 unblurred party background (it's always funny to quickly make these characters which no one will ever really see as the background is too blurry, and wondering if they should be used somewhere else down the line... who knows!).
