Chapter Forty-Five
Hagane stood in the Stalactite Room. The battle was not going well, but she would do her duty.
She had her goblins positioned to ambush the enemy with red caps and orcs to rush in with their charge. The animated armors and giants would mop up with her. She fashioned her arms into blades. They gleamed.
“They are about to breach,” Smerta said. “Ten.”
“We are ready,” Hagane said.
The prism entered first and burst with light. The brilliance dazzled Hagane's eyes. The goblins hissed, flinching before they could launch their attack. A stone snapped and crashed down. As Hagane's vision cleared, the prism was already vanishing into motes.
One of the stalactites on the ceiling had broken off and crushed her.
A devil came through next, flaming pitchfork in hand. The goblins hissed and threw themselves forward. The pitchfork skewered Mekleti while ice daggers flew around the devil and took Tornisa and Pilsa in the eye and throat. They all died, but the remaining goblins plunged their swords into the devil's belly.
As the orcs and redcaps charged through the room, racing over the uneven ground, a cyclops in silver armor charged in. She swung her hammer, crushing Skatitiesa the goblin. Karsi, one of the red caps, was the first to reach the cyclops. She swung, her blade bouncing off the armor.
A beam of fairy light cut the red cap in half.
The orcs struck the cyclops, battering at her armor and driving her back. A tennyo flew into the room over the fray, flower petals twirling behind her. She waved her arm to send her wind blasting when a stalactite fell and impaled her through the guts.
Chaos boiled at the entrance. A fomorian had joined the fray, killing Sargsi and Acsi, the last two goblins. Her shadowy blade flashed, killing Vardarbiba the red cap, and Orka the orc. Hagane charged in now, rushing at the fomorian.
The purple monster girl spotted the animated statue and pivoted, swinging a shadowy greatsword. A two-handed blade that hurtled for Hagane. She raised both her armblades, crossing them before her. She caught the massive blade.
The fomorian pivoted into a side slash. Hagane raised her left armblade and blocked the attack while she stepped into her enemy's guard. The fomorian's eyes widened as Hagane's right armblade swung for her foe's neck.
Hagane cut through the fomorian, motes spilling around her.
Two swords are better than one, she thought.
Ice flashed at her. Hagane deflected a frozen dagger thrown from an ice sprite. The glacial blue enemy fashioned another dagger, but Hagane was already dodging, cutting at a diagonal to close the distance on the new foe, the animated armors and giants charging in behind her.
A blast of water shot past Hagane from the purple-haired mermaid. It didn't hit her, but ripped a hole through Neredza the animated armor, killing her. Companion mermaids were far more lethal than the Level 1 versions Leo possessed.
The mermaid tracked Hagane, but the animated statue was too fast.
Hagane charged through the motes, still trying to reach the ice sprite, but that monster girl retreated, throwing another blade. To Hagane's right, Milzisi the giant smashed the fairy out of the air. To the animated statue's left, a nixie drew back her arm and her blood whip, staring at Hagane.
The giant Dargumsa slammed her club into the nixie, caving in her head and sending her to the void. Hagane spun around. If she had to breathe, she believed she would be panting, but she was made of metal.
The ice sprite vanished in a burst of motes, stabbed in the back by the orc Dzelzs.
Hagane did not spot any more of the monster girls. The battle was over. Broken stone littered the ground from fallen stalactites. They were already regenerating, but slowly. She swept her gaze around to make sure the fight was one.
“We have won,” Hagane sent to the others.
“Reinforcements are about to hit!” Smerta sent. “Twenty monster girls.”
That is not a good thing, Hagane thought. “Reposition!”
\ / *
“Get to the Stalactite Room!”
Smerta's voice screamed in Morana's mind. That was across the second labyrinth, but Morana wasn't the only monster girl to jump into the Life Sap Room. All the other death monster girls gasped, too.
“You heard her, Squad Unending Beauty!” the banshee screeched. “Let's go!”
“SQUAD UNENDING BEAUTY!” the others cried and followed her as she rushed for the exit.
“We're on our way,” Morana reported to Smerta.
\ / *
The djinn led the next assault on the Stalactite Room.
Hagane could only watch as her whirlwind slammed into the orcs and red caps, throwing them and killing them. The whirlwind cleared the defenders, allowing Amante the cherfu to charge out next. Hagane knew her.
Fuegin's wife.
An anger stronger than Hagane had ever surged through her. If she had blood as an animated statute, the liquid would be boiling. She pointed her armblade at the Fire monster girl, the rage exploding from her.
“WHY HAS FUEGIN BETRAYED US?”
Amante flinched and shot her gaze to Hagane. The cracks on her face glowed brighter. “He doesn't have a choice!”
A blast of fire shot from her and struck a giant. Hagane did not expect that answer. Her brain felt frozen by it. The battle flashed around her. A bluish shade rose through the floor. A dahu bounded across the room. A banshee shrieked.
The enemy attacked.
“Why would Fuegin have no choice but to fight us?” Hagane sent to Fara.
“What?” Fara asked.
A roar drew Hagane's attention. A bugbear charged at her, a burly monster girl, tall and broad-shouldered with a bear's head. Her big boobs bounced as she rushed to rip the gleaming animated statue to pieces.
Hagane lunged forward and slammed her armblade into the bugbear's open mouth, ripping through the back of her head. Motes reflected off Hagane's chrome-like body. She spun around, looking for any other foes. She had to focus.
“What did you just say?” Fara demanded. “Fuegin has no choice in attacking us?”:
“That is what Amante just said,” Hagane said. “He has no choice because... He is being forced to betray us.”
Fire flashed by Hagane. She spun around a stalagmite thrusting up from the floor. The flames burst against that. She scanned the battlefield. Light from an angel's halo flashed by and slew Dargumsa the giant.
This is not working, Hagane thought.
She spotted a carbuncle and charged out from behind her stalagmite, crossing the rocky room and cutting off the Earth monster girl's head. The garnet gem in the carbuncle's forehead fired a beam in the same moment that went wide, slicing across the ceiling before she vanished into motes.
Wind whirled. The djinn surged at Hagane.
The animated statue threw herself forward, facing the winds head-on. She had nowhere to run. She slashed at the mini-tornado, hoping to hurt the djinn inside. The winds struck Hagane and threw her to the side.
She struck a stalagmite, metal crumpling in her hip. She spun and rolled. She landed on her side, her right leg nonfunctional. She struggled to stand, her gaze sweeping over the battlefield. Once more, that thought it her.
This is not working.
A raiju leaped at the fallen animated statue and landed on her. Lightning coursed through her metallic body. She spasmed as the monster girl slew her. Hagane saw death coming, and at the same time, she had an insight.
“Our groups are not well-balanced for facing mixed groups of monster girls,” Hagane sent to Smerta and died.
\ / *
Smerta received Hagane's position. Her eyes were on the map. Morana's group was closing in on the Stalactite Room, but it didn't matter. All the monster girls in there were killed. The second group had just overwhelmed them.
“Morana, stop!” Smerta ordered. “The Stalactite Room has fallen.”
“Then where do we go?” Morana asked, annoyance in her voice.
Smerta studied the map, considering things. “Hold position. We'll let them go ahead of the Stalactite Room. It looks like they're heading for the Thunder Clap Room, but they are splitting up again. I'll guide you.”
“We are missing something here,” Fara sent, concern in the elf's voice.
“Leo,” Maya answered.
Smerta nodded. Hagane thought their plan was flawed. It seemed so, but what to do about it?
Chapter Forty-Six
Ms. Trueno waited in the Thunder Clap Room, Gudubennukug the ancient Thunder dragon at her side. Both had had copper scales, though the dragon also had silver bands of belly and breast scales. Around them, the cockatrices, sphinxes, sirens, and kitsune were ready to use their voices to attack.
The Thunder Clap Room burst with loud, disorienting noises. For non-Thunder monster girls, it would throw the enemy off balance. Make them easier to fight and overwhelm. Ms. Trueno wanted the sirens and the kitsune to turn the enemy against itself while the rest screamed, destroying them with blasts of sound.
They were ready for the fight.
Ms. Trueno drew in a deep breath, the thunder sprite ready to explode with her love for Leo, a shriek so loud, it would shred the enemy. Gudubennukug flared her wings wide and licked her lips; her silver hair spilled down her back.
“I am ready to redeem myself,” Gudubennukug said.
Ms. Trueno blinked, then remembered what the Thunder dragon had done to Kistal. Her madness had rampaged through the very city she had been charged to protect. For a long time, guilt and depression had plagued the dragon-MILF.
Now, she looked ready. Eager, even.
“Breach!” Smerta shouted.
A prism led the charge, her body made of crystals that reflected and broke up light. The sound disoriented. She staggered to the right, dizzy. Ms. Trueno screamed, the air warping before her with the thunderous sound.
The prism shattered beneath the onslaught.
The sound attack struck the mermaid coming in right behind the prism. She staggered only to have her head burst from the dragon's thunderous breath. The motes drifted through the air as the cockatrices and sphinxes screamed, directing their attacks at the entrance.
A blast of light shot through the entrance and struck Hangosy the cockatrice. She fell back, dead. Behind the light, a cyclops in silver armor charged into the room. The shiny metal reflected the sonic attacks. She charged forward at a sphinx.
An ice knife flashed past the cyclops and killed Asszony, taking the cockatrice in the eye.
The cyclops was not affected by the sirens' songs. She rushed at Oroszla the sphinx. The monster girl ducked her head down and charged, hoping to rip through the cyclops's armor, but her hammer swung and crushed the sphinx's head.
“I have her!” snarled Gudubennukug.
The ancient dragon jumped, her wings furled wide, and dove at the cyclops. The dragon's thunderous breath bounced off the armor. The cyclops turned only to have the dragon crash into her, claws ripping through the silver armor and driving the cyclops to the floor.
A lich darted in and staggered beneath the sound. Beams of light from a fairy's wound flashed around her, followed by a flaming pitchfork and a blood whip from a nixie. They drove back the surviving cockatrices and sphinxes.
Ms. Trueno rushed forward as the lich darted deeper into the room, throwing spectral scythes. Ms. Trueno reached the entrance of the room and screamed at the fairy floating into the entrance. The fairy screamed, her gossamer wings ripped off.
She died.
A flaming pitchfork flashed at Ms. Trueno. She threw herself back. A fomorian charged in after her. The purple-skinned monster girl staggered beneath the disorienting sounds. Two sphinxes' roars struck her and killed her.
“Next group is on you,” Smerta sent.
Ms. Trueno stood. It was chaos. Sounds and shouts and songs echoed through the room. Magasa the kitsune flashed into motes, killed by the devil's pitchfork. The lich had stumbled deep into the room. Ms. Trueno focused on the gemstone between the bitch's breasts.
The thunder sprite screamed.
The sound struck the lich, shattering the red gem. With the phylactery destroyed, the lich burst into glitter. Ms. Trueno grinned only for pain to explode in her hip. The blow spun her around. The nixie had entered the room and lashed with her blood whip.
Ms. Trueno bled, crimson spilling down her coppery scales. She opened her mouth to shout, but a shade appeared before her, reaching with spectral hands. Ms. Trueno screamed, striking the shade. The ghostly monster girl flinched and vanished back into the room.
An enemy thunder sprite threw herself on Gudubennukug while a goat-like dahu bounded into the room. She was hit with sonic attacks from the sphinxes, the roars slamming the dahu to the ground. Her icy sword shattered, and she died.
More enemy monster girls attacked.
A nimble werefox scampered through the room, her red-furred tail flashing behind her. An asura with flaming swords charged at the thunder dragon. Gudubennukug threw off the thunder sprite only to face flaming blades.
The asura hacked off the dragon's right arms. A screaming, thunderous breath exploded from Gudubennukug. The asura's flaming blades snuffed out, and her body crumbled beneath the aural assault, her bones snapping.
Her motes blew across the Thunder Clap Room.
A red beam from a carbuncle struck Gudubennukug in the chest. She inhaled deeply to breathe at her, but a banshee's deathly wail engulfed the Thunder dragon. Her scales lost their gleaming luster. She dropped dead and became glitter.
Ms. Trueno shouted in rage. The air warped and struck the carbuncle. Her forehead gem shattered. She spun and died. The banshee turned to Ms. Trueno, opening her mouth to let out another deathly wail.
The sirens focused on her.
The banshee swayed and turned, unleashing her deathly wail on an erinyes, killing the monster girl on her own side. The banshee staggered, the beautiful song washing over her and charming her. Ms. Trueno smiled, looking for new foes.
“The last ten are reaching the room,” Smerta sent. “Morana, go!”
A halo swept into the room and took off Nimfa the siren's head.
The banshee swayed, fighting the charm.
\ / *
“Charge!” Morana shouted. She rode behind Glavata on the dullahan's black horse.
They came around the corner to find a group of monster girls bunched up and ready to flow into the Thunder Clap Room. Glavata threw her head. Three flew past Morana. Red hair flowed behind the deathly monster girl's head.
When they hit the enemy monster girls, they exploded into black flames.
Motes spun through the air as they killed a maenad, a raiju, a simurgh, an animated statue, and a rakshasa. A cherfu that barely missed being hit glowed brightly. Flames shot from her cracks and struck Glavata.
The dullahan burst into flames. She and her mount became motes. Morana fell through them and hit the ground, rolling. She came up and screeched at the cherfu. The glowing cracks of lava snuffed out. The cherfu vanished into motes.
An angel's halo and a deva's blast of lightning struck Morana. Her head came off as her body spasmed from the electricity. She caught a brief glimpse of the chaos before the Void claimed her. She fell into it where she would sleep, her beauty preserved.
Chapter Forty-Seven
The enemy threw a look down the hallway, distracted.
But not enough that an ice sprite's dagger didn't kill Veszeli, another of the sirens charming the banshee. Ms. Trueno screamed at the ice sprite, crushing her ice-blue body. She died, but the banshee came free and wailed.
Her scream killed three sphinxes: Ordita, Gyama, and Igazsa.
The kitsune bounded toward the banshee, unleashing their songs. The werefox bounded around the room. Ms. Trueno screamed at the nimble fox, but she dodged it. She swept around to attack from behind. The copper-scaled monster girl spun.
Kincsa the kitsune struck the werefox. The blue-gray fox with three tails tore at the throat of the orange fox. The werefox died. The kitsune blurred into her human form and kept up her singing, her song washing through the room.
Ghosts rose out of the floor. Leo's ghosts. The enemy thunder sprite screamed as their deathly touch killed her. Explorations detonated in the hallway. Fire roared, light flashed, and lightning crackled.
Pain struck Ms. Trueno across the back. She gasped, her scales torn. She fell to her knees, spotting the nixie again. The watery monster girl drew back her blood whip to strike the bleeding thunder sprite again.
A red-haired head flew into the nixie and detonated. Agrandiozna galloped into the room only to be killed by a carbuncle that cut her in half with a blast of light. A charmed lamia spat ice at a nightmare, striking the Dark monster girl in the throat, killing her.
Ms. Trueno groaned, bleeding badly. Wind whirled. A djinn was in the room. Her air swept over Ms. Trueno. She screamed, thrown back and striking the wall with crunching force. Darkness engulfed the thunder sprite.
She died.

Hope surged in Smerta.
Leo's monster girls fought in the Thunder Clap Room. None of them were companions, but they were killing the enemy monster girls. All thirty attacked this room, and it was going badly for the enemy. The arrival of the Death monster girls had caught the enemy off guard.
Seven remained on the enemy side.
Then two of their black dots winked out.
Krvi the vampire died.
Dusata the ghost perished.
Five black dots remained. Hope surged in Smerta until she noticed the black dots streaming through the dungeon. The first ones who died were already rushing in to reinforce the remaining five. Smerta groaned.
A black dot winked out in the Thunder Clap Room, but the new enemy force arrived.
Nagya the kitsune's blue dot vanished.
So did three lemures: Predoka, Svetiliste, and Oltari.
The black dots poured into the dungeon. They all knew the path now. They raced fast because they had already tripped all the traps. Nothing stood between them and reaching the Thunder Clap Room. Smerta studied it and lowered her head.
“The Second Labyrinth is lost,” Smerta sent.
“Should we reinforce them?” asked Maya.
Smerta hesitated. There were still blue dots, but the blacks were overwhelming them now. “No, it's over. The enemy will regroup and descend to the Third Labyrinth.”
“Should we band together?” Nina Naughty asked. “The deeper they go, the longer their reinforcement line becomes. If we overwhelm them, we can hit their reinforcements as they come back into the dungeon. Pick them off as they're strung out.”
“It's an attrition battle,” Terra said.
“We have to buy time for one of the other builders to defeat their foes and send us reinforcements that regenerate,” Crystal said. “We just need the balance of the fight to shift. We just have to hold out that long.”
Hagane did say we had to change tactics, Smerta thought. Why did you put me in charge of this shit, Leo? I'm a fucking pro wrestler, not a soldier.
“Siwang and Munjan are in the same fix we are,” Maya said. “Fuegin is too powerful. He's overwhelming all of us.”
“How can he be powerful enough to take on three builders at once?” Nina Naughty demanded. “Something stinks.”
“He is not,” Fara said. “Our enemy is attacking us from multiple fronts. This started with elves attacking Myrecilla and Verianithila. And Cherfu said Fuegin is forced. Siwang suspects the builder far to the south is involved. He has reported that the missing Fire and Life dragons are attacking him along with the Light dragon.”
“Who is forcing Fuegin?” Maya asked.
“The elves he conquered?” Nina Naughty asked. “No, no, we don't have time for a debate. We need a plan. They'll be in the Third Labyrinth soon.”
“We must hope that Siwang or Munjan can stabilize their positions,” said Smerta. That was all they could do. “We must buy time for them to win or....”
For Leo to wake up.
“We're going to die,” Alizee said.
“Leo will wake up,” Maya said. She had such confidence. “He must.”
Without a builder, they were doomed. Siwang or Munjan were strong, but they didn't have Ultimate Tier Magic or Level 4 monster girls.
“If Fuegin himself enters this dungeon, we are doomed,” Terra said.
“He can't do that because he'll have to stop reviving his monster girls,” pointed out Crystal. “This is monster girl on monster girl action. The environmental rooms are working. We're making them pay. We just have to hope Siwang or Munjan can change things. They might not have Ultimate Tier, but they have Expert. They're able to take on ancient dragons. Let's not count them out.”
Smerta nodded. She had so little hope in her, though. They just had to keep holding.
The black dots moved.
The enemy entered the Third Labyrinth.
Chapter Forty-Eight
Munjan was worried he had made a mistake. Groups 1 and 2 were dead. He still had groups 3, 4, and 5 of his companions. They had to change the tide. Right now, his Ice monster girls were being attacked by seraphim, kappa, hydra, and jotunn.
Already, three wendigos, a yuki-onna, and a yeti were dead, their blue dots gone for good.
“Let's call that Enemy Group A,” said Munjan to Melin. That was how they were moving. Three groups of sixteen monster girls, four of each type. “Fire, Water, Ice, and Life.”
Zhenshchina and Yaichnik the wendigos died with Sosata the yuki-onna joining them a moment later. Munjan felt each of them, but he ignored them as he tried to figure out the enemies and think of a better plan.
“There is the group that hit the Water monster girls,” Melin said, pointing at a new group of black dots.
“Enemy Group B,” Munjan said. “Giants, ogresses, kitsune, and griffins.”
“Metal, Earth, Thunder, and Wind,” said Melin. He pointed at the third group. “So that's Enemy Group C with, what, Lightning, Darkness, Death, and Light?”
Munjan nodded. “That tracks. Cherubim, demons, dullahans, and houri.”
The last two wendigos, Poroda and Matka, died along with Zhena the yeti, and two yuki-onna, Schastlivyy and Lizata. In moments, Enemy Group A would be done with the Ice monster girls without any help coming for them.
Munjan steeled himself against the pain of abandoning them. They were his pawns, though. They lived for him, and he could revive them so long as he was alive. He stared at his dungeon. It was so pathetic compared to Leo's.
“Time to change strategy,” Munjan said as the fight with the Ice monster girls ended with Podavata the yeti's death. “Groups 4 and 5, converge on Group 3, who are heading to the Earth monster girls! Group 3, Enemy Group B, is about to attack there. It's composed of giants, ogresses, kitsune, and griffins.”
Yes, yes, dividing his companions had been the mistake. Munjan could see that now. He just hoped it wasn't a fatal error.
\ / *
“We'll hurt them,” Andea answered. She command Group 3.
The angel cheerleader stood in a room full of rocks for covers manned by the rock elementals, basilisks, and oreads. With her were Mirisi the manticore and Chisanu the valkyrie. The angel's white wings fluttered, her halo glowing bright.
“I'm glad we have backup coming,” Chisanu said. The valkyrie wore her ice armor and moved to the entrance where the enemy would attack. The door was still closed, but that would change.
“They're about to breach,” Munjan sent.
“Basilisks, breathe!” shouted Andea as she rose in the air, her halo glowing bright. “Oread, stay in the ground. Don't reveal yourself until necessary.”
The blue-scaled basilisks breathed their green petrifaction gas. All seven of them filled up the space before the door with their fume. A loud boom echoed. The door bulged inward, then flew off its hinges. Giants burst in first, right into the fog. They staggered, so much of it concentrated in one spot.
They were Metal monster girls. The petrifaction hit their limbs first. They staggered, their legs turning to stone from the feet up. Their arms grew heavy. One fell to her knees. The fog was neutralizing them while blue-scaled basilisks scampered back.
The giants threw their clubs as they were petrified, crushing Piersy, Scaslivy, and Usmichnisia. The three basilisks vanished into motes. The giants collapsed, turning completely to stone. They vanished a moment later.
As the gas cleared, the ogresses charged through. They were immune to petrifaction, fellow Earth monster girls. The rock elementals surged at them, the stony women rushing in and leaping at the ogresses. Their stone clubs swung, smashing rock elementals.
Andea shouted, “TEAM MUNJAN!”
Her halo blasted light that struck an ogress in the chest, bursting her breastplate and ripping into her heart. She fell back and died before she could hurt any of the rock elementals, but the other three ogresses swung.
Niamy, Zancyna, and Dobry all died, the rock elementals shattered by the ogresses, but they brought down one, breaking her legs and bashing her head in as she lay on the ground. She died while Chisanu charged in and hacked down another ogress.
“Shit!” Chisanu shouted, raising her sword.
A streak knocked her back. She hit the ground and rolled. A griffin flared her tawny wings and swooped around for another attack. A stinger stuck her in the ass. The poisoned barb from Mirisi sent the griffin crashing into the stones in a burst of scintillating bubbles.
Basilisk breathed their petrification breath as a griffin surged through. She emerged on the other end, her wings becoming stone. She shattered against the ground. However, another griffin ripped Smaktaca's heart out with her taloned foot, killing the basilisk.
“Bitch!” Andea shouted, her halo glowing bright.
A disk of light shot out from her and ripped through the griffin's gray-feathered wing and into her neck. She spun through the air and became glitter that splashed across the room. Andea flapped her wings, her anger building at these bitches.
They attacked her man's dungeon.
A beautiful song swept through the room. Andea smiled at it. She swayed for a moment before she realized the rock elementals were attacking each other. The stony women—their bodies gray with stria of white—slammed their boulder fists into each other, their garnet eyes flashing.
Andea hissed. She wanted to do something about the kitsune singing, but an ogress charged at her. Her halo flashed and shot out another disk. The ogress raised her stone club, but the chakram of light cut through the weapon and into the ogress's face.
Another bitch down, thought Andea.
One of the kitsune's song ended as she fell to the ground, twitching from Mirisi's stinger. The manticore fired a second blast, striking another of the kitsune. The other two scattered, still singing. One of the kitsune bounded into a blast of petrifying gas from Lizaca and turned to stone before dying.
However, Orado and Zaviaza were already dead, the two rock elementals killed by the charming song of the kitsune. Andea tracked the last of the kitsune, now in the form of a gray-blue fox with three tails. Andea's halo flared with light.
A blur streaked at the angel.
“Shit!” she gasped and fired at the blur instead.
She struck a griffin in the face as sharp claws ripped into her side. Andea screamed, spinning in the air. She hit the ground, motes raining down on her. Blood spilled from Andea's side. She pressed her hand against the wound as she pressed herself up.
A kitsune bounded at her. She stopped, singing at Andea.
The ground opened up beneath the kitsune. The fox vanished into the hole, which slammed shut. One of the oreads' work. Andea smiled as she pushed herself to her feet. She staggered, the pain flaring. The griffin nearly killed her.
An ogress loomed over Andea, swinging her club.
Andea's wings flapped as she jumped back. She soared clear of the club and fired a chakram of light from her halo. The blast took the ogress in the face, cutting her head in half. She staggered before the hulking monster girl vanished.
Andea landed, wincing.
She surveyed the battlefield. Chisanu parried an ogress's club before her icy riposte took the enemy monster girl in the face. The ogress stiffened and fell forward into glitter that reflected rainbows off the valkyrie's armor.
Mirisi's stinger took another ogress in the face. She fell to the ground, spasming.
The last enemy monster girl.
The angel was stunned for a moment. The battle must have taken only a few minutes, but it felt so long during the stress of it. Her side still hurt, but the pain was fading as she took in their victory. It bubbled through her.
“We won!” whooped Andea, her excitement exploding out of her. She flapped her white wings and rose into the air. “Munjan, we won!”
“TEAM MUNJAN!” shouted Mirisi.
“TEAM MUNJAN!” Andea cried with the remaining monster girls, including all four of the oreads still hidden in the group.
“Enemy Group C is rushing to you,” said Munjan. “Groups 4 and 5 are still closing in to reinforce you.”
Andea's enthusiasm died away. Another battle. “We'll be ready.”
“The dullahans are at the lead,” Munjan added.
The drum of galloping hoofs echoed through the room, growing louder and louder. Andea shuddered. Those were dangerous monster girls. Their deathly explosions were hideous things. They would need a new plan.
“Oreads,” Andea sent, “open holes, take out their horses or them.”
“Yes, Andea,” Minijaciurny the oread answered.
The headless dullahans galloped into the room on their black steeds. Holes ripped open beneath their mounts. The horses screamed as they fell into the holes. The dullahans threw their heads, fiery hair striking behind their missiles.
Deathly explosions ripped through the room. Dzida and Matkana, the last of the rock elementals, vanished in the black flames along with the final basilisk, Lizaca. The holes the dullahans fell into slammed shut.
One managed to get clear somehow, her black steed leaping out of the pit. The shrieks of the other three horses ended abruptly. Behind them, flew demons, houris, and cherubim. Andea blasted a demon with a blast of light, killing the shadowy monster girl.
The cherub flying behind the demon crackled with lightning. It flared from her halo and snaked out at Andea. The angel gasped, her wings flapping. Her skin prickled with goosebumps, and her blonde hair stood on end.
Electricity struck her and screamed through her body.
She died.
Chapter Forty-Nine
The lightning left a streak across Mirisi's vision.
Andea died. The manticore hissed, flapping her bat-like wings. Her scorpion tail curved over her head. She sought a target. The last of the dullahans didn't go far before the oread crushed her in another hole.
A houri streaked at Mirisi, trailing flowers. The beautiful and dusky woman looked like a man's wet dream, not dangerous at all. Mirisi knew differently. Her stinger flew as the houri gathered light before her to attack.
The barb tuck her in the left tit.
The houri gasped and spun through the air, the poison striking her.
“Another bitch down,” Mirisi said. Bitches were all over the world, and they needed to be put in their place. “For Munjan.”
In the other world, Mirisi had ignored Munjan. She had been a bitch, but here... She was his cheerleader. She fought for him. She loved him. Believed in him. A blade of light from another houri slammed down at Chisanu.
The valkyrie, motes spilling around her from killing a demon, staggered beneath the blast. Her icy armor shattered, exposing her large, pale-white tits. She hissed with rage and dove forward, rolling on the ground and dodging the next blast of wind.
Mirisi's arms prickled.
Her wings flapped hard as she dove. A blast of lightning from a cherub streaked over her head. She was not about to let that bitch get her. She pulled out of her dive and fired her barb at the cherub to finish the bitch off.
The cherub gasped as it struck her in the face. Her halo crackled before she fell spasming to the ground. Another blast of lightning flashed down at Chisanu. She vanished into a hole that opened beneath her, the oread protecting her.
Mirisi didn't get a reprieve. She was the only one of Munjan's monster girls in the air. The demons' shadowy lashes whipped at her while the cherub fired blasts of lightning. Mirisi was a Wind monster girl. She flew through the rocky room, weaving, dodging.
There're too many of them, she thought, fear washing through her. I'm so fucked.
The manticore had three demons, three houri, and three cherubim all trying to kill her. She banked around at the wall, spotting a demon. Her tail aimed and fired off a stinger. The demon screamed as she fell to the ground, spasming.
Mirisi resigned herself to death. There was no escape for her.
Fiery blades flashed and gut through a cherub and a houri. Plamena rushed into the room, the motes falling over her. A stone javelin hurtled over her head and slammed into another demon, ripping through her heart.
“The cavalry has arrived!” Plamena shouted as the asura rushed into the fray.
“TEAM MUNJAN!” whooped Dijamanta, who followed her in. She fashioned another javelin from the stone of the floor and threw it at a demon. “Ooh, bitch!”
The demon dodged it.
But Pogisa's shadowy javelin flashed at a houri who also twisted out of the way. She fired a blade of light at the fomorian. Pogisa gasped and dove beneath it, belly flopping on the floor. Mirisi winced at how much that would have hurt.
Her stinger took that bitch of a houri in the ass. The houri screamed and spasmed, the poison burning through her veins. Mirisi smiled in triumph at inflicting the attack. Reinforcements had arrived and saved her cute rump.
“TEAM MUNJAN!” Mirisi cried.
Gemekubnamus swooped into the room, the death dragon breathing her deathly flames. They engulfed the last houri. She screamed as her body rotted before she fell into motes that rained down on Pogisa.
The death dragon landed, looking fierce as she scanned for enemies. Behind her, Talasa entered. The selkie's big breasts bounced. She had gray skin that dripped with water like she was always soaked. She breathed out a blast of water like a fire hose.
The blast struck a cherub, knocking her out of the air and onto the ground. Plamena finished that enemy off. Talasa smiled as she put an arm around Gemekubnamus. The death dragon shrugged her off with a hiss.
“Touchy,” Talasa muttered.
“Right?” cooed Jaje. The dryad strutted into the room like she was a queen, her nut-brown tits bouncing. She cupped her boobs and cheered, “TEAM MUNJAN!”
Milk squirted from her nipples.
She wasn't the most useful monster girl in a fight, but she was here to help.
“TEAM MUNJAN!” Mirisi answered and landed. She looked around the room. They had won.
“Good job,” sent Munjan. “That's my cheerleaders.”
Mirisi grinned as the surviving cheerleaders all ran to her. Plamena, Dijamanta, Talasa, and Jaje thrust their hands toward her as they formed a circle. Mirisi added her hand to theirs. They all cooed before thrusting their arms into the air and jumping for joy.
“TEAM MUNJAN RULES THE DUNGEON!”
“Don't celebrate yet,” Munjan sent. “They're regrouping, and Enemy Teams A and B are rushing toward you.”

Plamena lowered one of her four arms. She formed her four blades of fire and shouted, “Okay, Team Munjan, let's get ready!”
“Oreads, continue to lurk underground,” shouted Mirisi. The manticore flapped her wings and soared to the back of the room. She would do well there.
Gemekubnamus flapped her wings, her black scales contrasting with the white bands of her belly and breast scales. Her snowy hair flowed behind her as she moved into position. Plamena advanced on the entrance, Pogisa joining her with her shadowy sword.
“Four monster girls moving in fast,” Munjan reported. “It's the Griffins!”
“Just killed all those bitches,” Mirisi sent with annoyance.
Plamena readied for her attack. Blurs streaked into the room. She swung and missed the fast-moving griffins. She also just dodged having her head ripped off by a talon. Pogisa's sword shook with a steely ring as she blocked another set of talons ripping at her.
One of the griffins screamed, impaled by Dijamanta's well-thrown stone javelin. Motes rained down on the asura and the fomorian at the entrance. Plamena didn't have time to track the surviving griffins as giants with metal clubs ran down the tunnel at them.
The asura raised her swords. On the heels of the giants came ogresses and jotnar in their stone and ice armor. This was a deadly fight. Chisanu came up to join the fomorian and the asura. Plamena's breasts rose and fell. Her burning hair crackled.
The gains swung.
Plamena used two of her swords to block the attacks while her other two swords swept into the giant's side, biting deep. It wasn't enough to kill her. She attacked again, the blows driving back the asura.
A hole opened beneath a jotunn, crushing her.
Chisanu blocked the stone club of an ogress.
A blast of water swept into a griffin, slamming her down. Another hole opened beneath the flying monster girl. Before she could recover, she vanished into the hole, which slammed closed, killing her. The oreads were merciless.
Plamena slew her giant only to see a blast of hydra acid flying at her. She swung her flaming swords, slicing through the green gunk before it could hit her. She retreated with Pogisa, the pair of them battling off the ogresses and jotnar.
“The kitsune are coming down the corridor!” Munjan shouted in their minds. “Oreads, take them out.”
“Lord Munjan!” cooed Minijaciurny.
Monster girls hissed in surprise down the corridor as stone slammed shut in a staccato burst, one after the other. Plamena smiled and blocked another blow from a giant's metallic club. The tall monster girl had brute strength.
Two of the ogresses turned and rushed into the hallway. That was shocking. Chisanu cashed after them only to be struck by a water blast from a turtle-like monster girl. A kappa. Chisanu gasped, the watery blow throwing her to the ground.
A hydra's spit struck her in the breasts.
The valkyrie screamed as she died.
Damn, Plamena thought.
The ground shook, and two boom cracks echoed. Plamena stumbled and regained her balance, confused.
“Two of the oread just died,” Munjan shouted.
“The ogresses!” cried Padbadzioryc the oread.
The booms returned, the floor lurching beneath her feet. The ogresses' attacks. The other two oread must be dead. Plamena snarled and slashed through the giant. She found a kappa firing water at her. The busty monster girl had a turtle shell on her back and large tits. She had no hair, but a tentacle of water grew from the top of her head.
She shot the water at Plamena.
The asura's flaming sword slashed through the air, cutting through the flames. They sizzled on her blade. She didn't care as she rushed through the chaos and closed in on the enemy monster girl. She slashed at the kappa.
The monster girl spun around, putting her shell to Plamena's swords.
The first three struck the shell, leaving scorch marks but doing little damage to the hard, green armor. Plamena angled her fourth blade differently and slashed through the kappa's neck, killing the monster girl.
A jotunn rushed her.
She blocked the icy hammer with her swords. Black flames shot to her right, Gemekubnamus killing two of the hydras. Fire shot down from seraphim flying around the ceiling. Plamena's blades flashed, steam bursting each time her weapons struck the jotunn's armor.
She melted through the breastplate and took the enemy monster girl in the heart. She ran her through, the monster girl spilling into motes that washed over her. She smiled as she readied her blade to fight the next foe.
A heavy blow struck Plamena in the back of the head so hard she found herself in the void before she realized she had died.
