Missed
DESCRIPTION

I really messed up today—I missed my alarm and ended up missing a photoshoot that was incredibly important to me. It wasn’t just with a photographer I admire, but someone I also consider a close friend, which makes it feel even heavier.

When I make mistakes like this, I tend to be really hard on myself. The regret hits hard, especially when there’s no way to rewind or fully express how sorry I am. Photoshoots aren’t just work to me—they matter deeply. They’re part of my art, my growth, and my integrity. So missing one like this feels like I let a part of myself down too.

But I’m also someone who journals, reflects, and tries to ground myself instead of spiraling. Today I had to practice what I always try to remember: that mistakes happen. And as much as I wish I could change the morning, I’m learning to forgive myself and move forward with care.

I value people’s time and energy so much—and I never want to take that for granted. This was a hard reminder, but also a moment of growth.
