As previously discussed, we are interrupting our regular programming to bring you this Halloween special. It seems there's been an All Hallows' disturbance in the old creepy graveyard and Awesome City's top cop, Detective Alma Serrano, has been dispatched to check out the situation. Along with her are two familiar faces (among other body parts), who are assisting in the investigation.
Every Halloween I like to celebrate by attempting to work myself to death to get a too-ambitious multi page story out in a short span of time. Learning from previous years, I took precautions and made a static background, and used a faster kind of shading than my normal comic pages. THEN I had the brilliant idea to make it about three characters. The original suggestion from Xander Grogan was for just Lu Chien and Alexandra, but then I decided in my infinite brilliance: What if there was a THIRD person for me to draw? Wouldn't that be fun? It turns out it was kind of fun, but about 33.3 percent more work. Still I think Serrano is a fine addition to the Awesome Police Department and I hope you agree!
