Once again it's time to catch up with Victoria and see what she's been up to since her college run-in with Mondo Mongol back in the Laser Lass story. It seems she's gotten a job as a correspondent for a local news station, which is a pretty good gig: especially right out of college. Luckily, success hasn't changed our girl, she's still the same sweet ray of sunshine she always was. Here we see her patiently dealing with her technician (who is a bit of a ray of sunshine himself) as she prepares for a big remote segment. There's a little back and forth between the two, but an agreement is reached that seems to satisfy both parties. I wonder how things are going to work out for her? Luckily for all of us, we'll find out over the course of this story.This is meant to be a tribute to Cracked magazine and their Nanny Dickering character, who was a roving reporter that did interviews with industry leaders in various fields of business. Her portrayal varied from one artist to another, but she was always depicted as an attractive woman with a microphone and (usually) a tight skirt and blazer.
You can probably see how she might have made an impression on young Legmuscle. Although I enjoyed the stories in which she appeared, she was never involved in the satirical shenanigans that happened in the stories, which I always thought was a missed opportunity. In this story, we will make full use of the ENF potential that lurked just beneath the surface of the Nanny Dickering concept in a way that Cracked never could.
