Jay prepare to take the first step in his bold plan to save Victoria from a nasty fall and possible processing into an ice cream crate. The stakes could not be higher, but Jay is moving with the cool efficiency of a man who has done this before, and maybe he has, who's to say? Victoria, naturally, has some doubts about his methods, but time is of the essence and he moves into to put his strategy into action. Not before making sure that the integrity of the broadcast is maintained, of course. That would be ridiculous.
Much ado has been made about Victoria's front, but I thought the back could use some attention as well. Panels like this seem like they'd be an easy day at the office, but there's a lot of work that goes into making sure they don't seem dashed off or insubstantial. Angle was considered, as well as lighting, and composition. It's hard to put enough detail into a seemingly simple image so that it can stand as the main focus of a page and not seem overwrought. I drew a similar panel for Laser Lass so I had some practice making it work. Hopefully I pulled it off.
