Violet Van Vyle in Opposite Day Page 19
Using a variety of wild and specifically named techniques our villainess expertly dodges the drones that exist only in her augmented reality headset. With every thrust and twist she sends lunch items flying as her acrobatic display confuses and delights the assembled shoppers in equal measure.
Part of the challenge of this story, and particularly the food court sequence in which we currently find ourselves, is coming up with all the little background products. They have to suggest the reality of bunch of alternate fast food places while also being relatively easy to draw so that each page doesn't take two weeks. Then there's the fiddly trouble of doing colour schemes and designs for all the packages and making them look different enough from one another that everyone doesn't look like they're eating the same thing. I also try to give things funny names when I can, but that's more of a self imposed requirement.
