hey peeps, not much to say about fenris high this week again unfortunately, we ran in a bit of a snag regarding the 3d props, but things should be fixed now so we should be able to start decorating the school with the props made for the previous version. I'll show you when we have something visual ready-
as for androcosm, i'm still on concept art duty. As i mentioned last time the dwarves i drew were a bit too similar with their look to the priest player character you'll be able to recruit so cgb told me to make them look more like traditional dwarves, still keeping in mind their clothes should be airy and light since they live so close to a volcano. After i fixed the ones i drew last time i started adding some women and kids to the roster
and kept adding them to allow cgb some extra variety hopefully you can tell what their story and jobs are just from a glance!
since those are plenty of dwarves, cgb told me to focus on the orcs next. The orcs live inside the caldera of the volcano and as such are pretty much all nudists , since the heat is so intense. They avoid using metal since it would become too hot, so they mainly rely on bones, cloth, obsidian and earthenware to dress themselves and for their tools. They also cover their skin with a substance similar to white kaolin to protect themselves from the heat. Not sure if this will make in but i gave them some cultural significance things; for example, the cloth they drape themselves with reflects their societal role : red are warriors , orange are artisans, and yellow are scholars. Blue is mainly used for children. The women also usually shave their eyebrows and all the sexes are heavily into piercing and scarring to accentuate their beauty.
next i drew a mutated orc , the corrupting force is what gives the orcs their unique traits, such as green skin , their muscular frames and tusks. It stands to reason that a corrupted orcs would be an extreme exxageration of all that is orcish, with giant tusks and a roided out phisique, in addition to the usual grey coloration and claws.
anyways that's it for today, hope you peeps like the sketches! more to come for both projects, so stay tuned!
