I've compiled two of the main demos that made up the writing process for "Stone Jars"!
The first one is basically the whole song minus the bridge, there's a couple lyrics that are different and it's missing the big walk down on "SQUIRM BENEATH THE LIGHTS". Also I'm definitely trying to keep my voice down in this one, I'm not sure when I recorded it but I clearly wasn't comfortable giving it full volume. 😅
The second demo is much shorter and sparser, it's almost an "acoustic" version since I didn't feel like plugging the bass in, but I'm going louder on the vocals and now have the walk down. There's also an early version of the bridge.
A lot of my song demos are like the second one, just little snippets to flesh out an idea. I'm not patient enough to record the whole song usually, I just want to get the gist mapped out...
