I should've suspected these weeks were going to be problematic, but I was optimistic. That's my bad. I got the new Have Totem, Will Travel out to people, and I'm currently sitting in an airport, heading back to my hometown for my high school class reunion, and there's a certain pressure that comes from that, compounded by the fact that there were two shootings yesterday, and the press is entirely focused on one and basically ignoring the other.
Look, all political violence is bad. Full stop. End of sentence. But let's not lionize someone who doesn't deserve it, okay? Do your homework. This guy called for violence on so many people in his lifetime that it's very hard to give him any sympathy when violence was done to him. As stated before (and again, for those not paying attention), I think all political violence is bad. I'm just not surprised, especially since their side continues to claim violence against my side is worthy of mockery rather than condemnation.
I'll be on the go for most of the weekend, but I'll see what I can do about trying to get something done, but I'm far from making promises about getting stuff out, because frankly my mind's a mess. (One person I went to high school with described me as a 'Demoncrat' online just a few hours ago, so you can imagine how thrilled I am about this reunion. Most of the people I went to high school still seem reasonable, but at least a few have been lost to the cult of personality.)
