State of Affairs Devlog!

Howdy everyone. Been a while since I updated everyone, both in terms of the game itself and in terms of informing you what's been happening behind the scenes. This isn't going to be an official announcement of something that will come at a later date, but I will be talking about it here.Before that, quick information about Violet Memoir builds. I have been working on it, but something else has been taking up my time, which you likely just saw an image for above. The build is coming along nicely, and Korichi has started working on the CGs for the Oscar build. Usually, I feel pretty bad about going months without an update, but I didn't mind it too much this time as I knew I needed to wait for these CGs anyway. They aren't for this specific update as I'm working on the Lucas one first, but hopefully with the amount of time that's been given, we can have the Oscar build come out without art asset delays.

Now, onto the main reason why things have slowed down a bit! If you've been around Twitter and Bluesky, you've potentially seen posts by Ekzonzz about an upcoming Visual Novel project. I won't beat around the bush here, but I won't be properly announcing it yet. That visual novel is a sequel/spin-off of Violet Memoir, named Everwinter. It will be primarily focused around Selwyn's friend group from Oscar's route, and yes, that does include Selwyn as a love interest. So look forward to that. A lot of the production details haven't been hashed out yet, and this will likely be a side project, not the main one. But I thought everyone could take a little sneak peek. I'll be keeping you updated more as information and art assets are done, though the previews will likely be for Lucas tier patrons only. Things have started ramping up in development for that, and a lot of my time has been diverted towards it, slowing down production of Violet Memoir a bit. Things are starting to calm down, so I can hopefully pump this update out and move on to the next. I wanna get Violet Memoir done this year so I can move onto my next projects!
