So, with the eve of Cassidy C5 upon us... I pulled out my thumb and gave 200% this week... like, I knew going into this that there was no way the necessary scenes would fit into one week. That the timeline I gave last devlog was going to slip. But with hope in my heart I went it to do it anyway, just in case. Then everything slipped immediately.

Rule of thumb, it takes 50% effort to get 80% work output. 200% effort returns a measly 110-120% output. But if there are weeks for those marginal gains... these are those. Cos I got a lot done.

Firstly, we have three more interactions with the girls about asking questions. Jenny and Lina under the tree, Haily while berry picking and Carla while she is having tea. This just leaves Sami.

On top of that, one of the reasons Cassidy C5 is taking so long is that it is probably at least 3 times the size of a regular corruption level. And that's not just in word count, but themes. And one of those themes is how Cassidy deals with life where she actually is okay being a bit open about herself. I haven't gotten into it as much as I want because there hasn't been time but it is definitely something that has to happen at the culmination of her character growth.

So... during the BBQ, with 6 love, Cassidy can put on a talent show.

It goes interestingly.

You can then discuss it with the drinking buddies (with optional non-alcoholic drinks) after.

All combined, this is possibly in the top 5 updates ever of most content. Sadly that's only by stupid metrics like word count... but it's still huge by good metrics as well. And yeah, I busted my butt over this one. The whole thing is a day late because I was on like 4 hours sleep, got to 2am last night and looked at my render pile, 15 renders, each containing 4-10 people with optional pregnancy layers across the board... I just noped right out of that! Rather give up my day off for it.

Next week I'll probably be pushing, maybe not quite as hard, but pretty hard. It's not sustainable, but this is a short term crunch and it has to end next week. Sometimes it's just the best choice and that's also why you do leave yourself some slack, so you can push when you need too. After that I'm going to enjoy just my regular 60 hour work weeks instead of this (self inflicted) bollocks.

Anyway... I'm going to go eat tacos now...
