Okie dokie... This week, I set out to finish Cass C5... And boy was that a fool's errand, but I'll go into that after the weekly breakdown. Productivity wise, it's even higher than last week, maybe not spread over as many scenes but it's a huge amount of stuff.
First of all, I was in a fey mood and made a second Haily pregnant mail. Just complete her C5 a second time and it will be sent through. I also almost forgot to do renders for it and had to rebuild the game at 4am... fun!
After that, the final person in the series of investigations, Sami. You can ask her about it in bed on saturday at midnight.
And then... finally, you can check back in with Cassidy...
Sunday midnight, if you have checked in with each person (not in this loop, just ever), and if you've investigated both the love and the past paths (More obviously not in this loop, just ever), you can go over everything with Cassidy in the garden. You can even give her her journal.
The scene is huge... and the more and more I wrote into it, the more and more I realised I was writing myself into a hole... Cass C5, and the culmination of all the games plots and mysteries was about to flop in thousands and thousands of words of pseudo philosophical ranting! I handed it off to someone to have a read through and their head basically exploded with everything just being too much!
Suffice to say, I needed to pivot. Re-engineering the scene, I feel like I've now set myself up for success, even if it is still a huge, dense scene.

And that leads us into next week... Cass C5 has been going on too long, it's time to work on something else, but I also can't call this finished... it is not the narrative capstone it needs to be, and it's also not the emotional capstone it needs to be. But I also can't just put it on the shelf for another 3 months. My plan is, I'm going to try and push it forward just once scene at a time each week. This will also give me time to talk to people and make sure their questions are being answered. One of the largest issues I was having is, because I know all the answers already... I can barely write the protagonist... they are you. So I need that communication to make the scene cover the things it needs to. Moving bit by bit constantly will give me that.
Regardless, that's all future stuff. Next week I've got a bunch of fun scenes to write, and people voted that I have to take a day off... I will be providing receipts of this, because, like lizard brain Alex with a condom, I cannot be trusted.
After that we will be moving into Lisa Pregnancy.
