New Line Cinema had a massive—and, in retrospect, not at all surprising—hit on their hands with the first TMNT film, so it was time to strike while the iron was still as red as Raph's bandanna. And so, 1991 gave us The Secret of the Ooze: a sequel that promised to deliver more of the zany fun of the very popular animated series, and with fewer PG-rated curse words. While this focus makes it a lesser film, we still have to admit: they made some serious advancements in puppet mouth technology.
