Hi everyone! I'm back home from my 3-week trip to Japan! It was an amazing experience, and I'm so glad I had the chance to do it! I’ve been home since May 30th, so I’ve had a little rest, and today I’m back to work! There will be posts I didn’t get a chance to publish before I left, I’ll be putting together a monthly art pack, and I’ll be catching up on a few artworks that are still left over from May! Once I've caught up, I'll move on to the Rainbow Challenge, so get ready! :>
Please bear with me—the first few days back at work might be a bit slower, since I haven’t drawn anything during my time off, so my hand might be a little stiff :DBelow is a detailed account of the trip, in case anyone is curious about how it went!-------------------------------------------------------I made it back home without any mishaps! I’m doing great, I just needed a break, but I’m slowly getting back to work! By the way, I’d like to tell you a little bit about this trip! As you know, I was in Japan for three weeks with my friends! It was very intense we walked 25,000 steps a day, and I saw beautiful places and wonderful towns. I ate delicious food that’s hard to find back home. We landed in Sapporo, where we spent two days exploring the city, and then we rented a car and drove to the town of Noboribetsu, famous for its sulfur hot springs, which we also visited! Our next stop was Lake Toya, where we enjoyed a hot spring, a walk along the lake, and a fireworks show at night. Then we went to Otaru to the whiskey museum, where we did a tasting and did a little shopping :D, followed by a walk past the temples, the city, and sushi with fresh fish served on conveyor belts In the morning, we had cheesecake for breakfast, because Otaru is famous for its delicious cheesecakes I highly recommend it! Then we continued on our way, this time along a scenic route by the cliffs, beautiful rocks, and water. Next stop was Hakodate, where we visited the fishing museum, the distinctive yellow-and-blue city hall, and more temples! Throughout the entire trip, we also visited many scenic overlooks and took rides on mountain railways to observe the city panoramas! After Hakodate, we took the train to Aomori, where we visited the Nebuta Museum, which displays the paper models used in the region’s most popular festival. The next day, we went to the fish market and had fish and rice for breakfast it was delicious; the fish just melted in our mouths!
