DESCRIPTION
We were very lucky to see Badwater Basin filled with still, glassy water after the winter rains in February. If enough water accumulates the basin becomes the pluvial Lake Manly. This is a rare occurrence created by the atmospheric river that moved through the area this last year. Many years ago, Dan and I shot here when it was all just salt flats, which is what you encounter there most of the time. Whether it's a temporary lake or an expansive collection of salt polygons, this location is a must-see if you are in the Death Valley area.
