a (possibly) controversial opinion i’m too scared to post on any other social media

i think it should be illegal to photoshop your body to make it look more “appealing” because its really done so much damage to people’s self esteem. if i’m being honest, i also think at the very beginning of beauty marketing there should’ve been a department that regulates certain advertising laws, but i don’t think anyone had any idea what would become of the beauty industry today — so how could we really know, i guess? i don’t know, i’m kind of just rambling. it just upsets me to see so many obviously edited bodies on social media with the comment sections filled with people wishing they looked that way or others lusting over this person that simply doesn’t exist.
