As much as I wanted to just sit around in my bunker and hide until I managed to train myself into becoming a god-like power. My mana stores woudn't grow at such a decent level even if I had access to powerful spells and such.
I had to use my treasury room to enhance my mana stores. And to get the most out of it... I obviously had to fill up the treasury room.
This has obviously led me to head back into Las Vegas despite it being taken over by demons at one point. 'Actually with the Soul Reaper's clearing up a lot of the demon lords at least. I wonder how these demons are even doing?' I mused.
As while the three lesser demon lords worked together to gank Nemu. I very highly doubted they would continue together. And if they were smart, after seeing Nemu escape. They might run away in general honestly.
And I wasn't just wandering out of my bunker's safety either as I knew that Nemu was going to fucking snitch on me the moment she got back to the Soul Society. I made sure to make an amulet that would absorb leftover magical energy that was emitted from me.
As well as making sure that it would be far more difficult to remotely scry for me. And seeing as Nemu didn't take anything like my hair or blood. I knew that Kurotuschi woudn't be able to easy find me anyway.
And as I drove across the desert and got close to Las Vegas, it didn't take me long to realize that the demon's that were previously guarding the roads were nowhere to be seen... Openly as after I drove into the ghost town that was Las Vegas.
I swiftly found some demon corpses left to rot in the hot Nevada sun. Most were pulled aside from the roads at the very least. But most pulled into alleyways and even stuffed to the point of overflowing from large garbage bins.
"Yeah... It wasn't just Nemu who made trouble for these demons. It looks like the wizards and otherwise tore through the demons." I muttered to myself quietly.
But still, not a fucking soul otherwise was within sight as I drove through the backroads until I reached a giant subdivision of mansions, giant houses and estates.
And seeing the large door at a large marble-style mansion, clearly torn off with blood splattered across the side of the door. I realized that ahem... Cleaning out these mansions would be a better way to find some treasures then just robbing pawn stores and whatnot.
I highly, highly doubted I would just come across another SCP in the middle of a pawn store after all. But then again... Knowing my luck, who knows? Maybe I would have the wonderful luck of finding that bastard Peanut chilling in a stall and I would have to deal with his dirty ass.
I carefully moved to look into the mansion and as I passed by the front hall. I paused at the sight of one of those aliens who were attracted to sounds. It had clearly gotten into a fight with something VERY strong as the marble walls of the building were torn apart as whatever it fought.
Put up a good fight, and beat it to death with physical force from what the alien corpses looked like.
'The blood in the area looks like normal rusted red blood that has dried out... The demon I killed previously had weird blood as well so who knows if it was a demon that killed it?' I mused before I moved through the mansion with silent steps.
Truly silent steps at that as I cloaked my body in telekinetic force which kept my steps silent.
And to the right of the entryway was a large library filled with old books and a huge floor to wall window that was broken in several places that let in alot of natural light.
"Ooh? That's a goodie there." I muttered as the owner of this mansion seemed to be a man of 'culture' as he had several glass cases spread across the library. Each containing some historic goodie.
A sword from a Roman Centurion, a wakizashi that was used by a 'famous' samurai general to commit seppuku. A crystal tray filled with authentic 'blood' diamonds collected from the Congo.
All good things that could fit into my treasury to expand my mana stores. So with a smile I pulled at my mana and the glass cases cracked before their seals were broken as I just pulled the glass cases up into the air and moved them aside, as I then moved the goodies into the trunk of my jeep.
And I continued this little clean up operation as I collected a bunch of goodies until a loud snapping noise rang out as I moved a statue to the side a bit to get at the ornate sword the state carried.
My face turned dark as the snapping noise revealed something I didn't expect as the wall beside the statue pulled back, unveiling an elevator that was brightly lit by some hidden generator that was STILL in operation somehow.
And as I peeked into the elevator curiously. Wondering if the mansion's occupants were possibly watching from some secret bunker built deep under the mansion.
My dark expression became heavier as I looked at the elevator's buttons and embossed almost innocently into the buttons' plaque was a plain company symbol I recognized all too well.
"Shit... What the hell is my luck in the first mansion I go into. It's tied to Umbrella?" I cursed before I paused, as I also realized that while this was a rich neighborhood. It wasn't a gated community, and this mansion was the first one on the street.
So Umbrella could easily disguise movements from this lab or whatever it was as just traffic from just this mansion.
If this place was even a lab to begin with.
"This house was already filled with goodies. Would bioweapon samples and stuff like that be super valuable and be able to fill my treasury?" I wondered as I also considered the fact that maybe.
Just maybe, I should also be running in the complete opposite direction, screaming as it was perfectly possible that Umbrella had a Tyrant here, which was what killed that alien in the hallway.
