After all the cooking, all the work to be done in the kitchens, and whatnot, making sure all the girls staying here while most of the group went to go see the mad Tabane didn't starve. I was just relaxing outside as fireflies flew through the air and filled the back area of the courthouse with small flickers of light.
All the while Akitsu was acting as both a back cushion as well as a neck rest with her amazing 'sweater pillows' laying on the sides of my head as we lounged in relaxed silence.
A soft humming rang out from the side gardens and I smiled as I saw another Sekirei, though not one of mine in Kusano. Who was thankfully not a child, remotely thankfully.
In this shitty universe, I would be rather worried about her alot more if that was the case. Even if she was a clone or whatever.
"Kusano, whatcha up to?" I asked curiously.
Kusano made a soft humming noise before she asked almost innocently... And I do mean 'amost' innocently as although she was more on the innocent and ditsy side like Musubi.
That didn't mean she had the very much smooth brain aspect that Musubi could have at times.
"Jake... Are you going to wing all the Sekerei in the group?" She asked rather bluntly.
And I didn't mentally reset before Akitsu who was behind me gave me a light squeeze before she said calmly. "He should... He needs as many Sekirei as possible, to make him stronger. And to protect him."
Kusano tilted her head to the side and said 'innocently,' but I could see the fucking teasing glint in her eye's. "Hmm, Karasuba won't accept him so easily. But Hibiki and Hakari were talking about stealin him away in turns to get winged while the other distracts you all."
And I couldn't help but ask in amusement. "And what is your plan then Kusano? I have only seen you at meal times, as you like to just hid in the tree's to watch out for monsters and other nasties."
Kusano giggled and like a fey spirit, she skipped over and I noted that as she walked barefoot over the broken-down pathways and concrete pad of the back of the courthouse.
She left behind foot prints that glowed with glowing moss as her power of life was strong enough that just bare skin touching the earth would force life to bloom.
Kusano leaned in towards me with a small smile and I didn't feel threatened at all with how utterly non-threatening Kusano's whole atmosphere and being was.
"I was actually found by Feixiao in this realm you know... We, the unwanted heaps of clones belonging to the company, aren't dropped in groups or anything convenient. We are just dropped into the world, and if we die to the horrors sealed within, that's just our fate." She said with that same smile.
And I realized that this Kusano was. A little messed up from her time roaming this realm at least to say of maybe visiting the others as well before she joined in with the rest of the group. Then she added.
"I was alone for a long time... Until I found Kazehana, which made me really, really happy!" She said excitedly.
Then she made full eye contact before she said with an easy grin. "As for you Jake... As for when I will accept you winging me. That's simple, you just have to make Kazehana fall in love with you as well haha!"
And with that. The Sekirei of life just skipped away leaving glowing flowers that attracted the fireflies in the air towards them as she left without another word.
"That... Was a fucking weird interaction." I said bluntly with Akitsu poking my chest as she still held me from behind.
And her voice hit my ears with a casual lit to it. "Want to go wing Kazehana? I can drag out that lewd cat Kuroka so you can get some time alone with her?"
My lips twitched at the casual way she basically just said. 'Hey, wanna go try to make a soul bond with a lewd alcoholic?'
I shook my head and said helplessly. "She is definitely avoiding me for a reason. It is very possible she is also on some level reacting to me. But she doesn't seem ready to throw herself into my arms anyway."
If Kazehana wasn't ready to be winged. Then I wasn't going to press her... To say nothing of the fact that I was also struggling to handle four Sekirei at once in bed.
Just because I had the Gamer power at this point. That didn't mean I was instantly a sexual god who could fuck four Sekirei to happy puddles when they themselves were all superhuman as well.
Still it seemed that Feixiao was going to take... A while anyway to find Tabane's roaming city or whatever it was called. As for why the hell did Tabane have a giant roaming city for her group. Well, with her having a tech focus it made sense.

The next morning was a buzz of activity as apparently. While Feixiao couldn't use her true strength and had to seal the vast majority of it. She still very much had access to her super speed that made her a discount flash esentially.
So during the night while I was resting with my Sekirei to get ready for the trip. Feixiao found Tabane's roaming city, talked to Tabane to tell her we were coming to trade... And made sure to kill literally anything that was alive or remotely threatening that was on the route.
And also brought back a literal fucking giant tank that had anti-gravity tech in it that would serve as our ride there and to carry our extra goodies.
"So... Using this tank. How long will it take to get to Tabane's group?" I asked Feixiao as she lounged across a long couch.
As this tank clearly wasn't built with complete utility in mind. It was like a fancy lounge with a couple gaming controllers that could control the guns that could be remotely controlled from the inside of the tank.
And considering Tabane made space capable mechs with energy shields, spatial storage, and other goodies without any other super scientists to help her. It wasn't surprising that this tank, which was partly her handiwork, was so convenient.
"Ehhhhhh, with the speed of this tank. And the fact that one of the realms in front of us is an island resort realm of some kind... Probably like two days? Assuming that I don't need to deal with any water monster's again."
That was a fair point, though I was a bit confused about why the island resort realm was going to take us two days to pass through?
But I looked across from the rest of the group that decided to come with. Obviously, there was me, because I wanted to get some goodies, and I was the only one with an actual form of spatial storage.
And then there was Matsu, and Akitsu, who were my only sekirei coming as Musubi, and Tskuimi got stuck with going on another food run. With Musubi promising to grab as many Primordial Energy Items for me.
Other than my two Sekirei, the other passengers were Uzume, who was just out to make trouble. Kuroka for her magic know how incase we got cursed by some monster. Rangiku because she justr wanted to get out of the forest realm for a bit.
And lastly, Lust, who was apparently the team's negotiator and trader.
Which made sense with her innate charisma, I suppose.
Speaking of the Sekirei of 'trouble' Uzume was giving me and Akitsu especially funny looks as she giggled at how adorable Akitsu was as she instantly fell asleep on my shoulder.
"I never thought I could say a tank could lull someone to sleep," I said with a shrug to Uzume who giggled again.
As this antigravity tank was very much on the quiet side, besides a steady, very low hum that tickled my senses laying in bed with a weighted vibrating blanket.
Uzume, on the other hand, waved me off as she said with a grin. "I was curious how well you two got together outside of meal times. And I have to say, yeah, you two fit together haha!"
Then she leaned in and said teasingly. "Sooo, how is it being a 'magical' Ashikabi for us Sekirei huh? It doesn't seem to have made you cocky yet from what I can see?"
I shook my head in amusement before I said honestly, as I pulled Matsu who was leaning against my other side, a bit tighter. "How could I get arrogant or cocky when I can feel their emotions? How could I allow myself to become an ass, when they themselves can feel my own emotions?"
It... It was fucking crippling to feel arrogant and proud of having three beautiful, big titty giving your a titty job at the same time. And then, through our soul bond, my four Sekirei sent waves of feeling of disappointment at my overly arrogant feelings of being at the top of the world as it was.
