Bit Totoro like! I wanted to paint a scene where various plants, trees, fruits, and flowers were growing around them. The tree bearing various fruits is based on SCP-2815. The whitish color of Ion's clothing is based on a táltos doodle I drew previously. I also drew a new doodle of Táltos, though it's not faithful to the actual clothing. And there's also a reincarnated baby Ion.
I really like SCP-2815! It has a flavor of cultural anthropology, is an ironic take on "super villains," and features Dr. Narváez.
The pomegranate was also drawn on the Tree of Life. The pomegranate has been a symbol of fertility since ancient times, so I definitely wanted to include it. If I had included animals (horses appear in SCP-2815), it would have approached a more West Asian-style "Tree of Life" iconography, but I couldn't fit it due to composition constraints.
This will be the final update for 2025. This year was one in which I worked to paint better artworks. I will try to do better next year.
