I went to the Ryukoku Museum in Kyoto on January 11th! To see the Greco-Roman culture and Buddhism exhibition.
Photography is generally prohibited at the exhibition (which is common at Japanese museums), so I have very few photos, but I will post them. I was delighted to see coins of Alexander the Great (I love him) and Menander I. I learned for the first time that Gandhara has reliefs depicting scenes from the Trojan Horse, among other interesting things. I was also glad to learn about the characteristics of Maitreya, and I hope to incorporate this knowledge into my future artwork.
In Japan (and East Asia), it's trendy to go out, eat, and take photos with plushies, so I took my LovaIon plushies along too. Ryukoku Museum is a wonderful place with superb exhibits and architecture, and the dishes and desserts at its attached cafe are also very delicious. I highly recommend visiting if you ever have the chance to go to Kyoto!

My Wacom tablet has broken down. Right now, I only have an iPad to draw on, but I can't draw as well as I could with a tablet. So updates will be slow until my tablet gets fixed, and I think there will be a lot of doodles and practice sketches. Thank you.
