Hey. Someone is leaking all of my comics. The paid ones, I haven't posted elsewhere.
I make everything ever available for anyone to drop in for $12. If an older comic or two gets posted, ok, whatever, sometimes I think it raises awareness I/this place exist. This is an extremely generous offering, I'm ok with signing up for a month and grabbing 'em, I don't gate access by membership window.
But this many of them? The paid ones? In series? This miffs me. Here is why:
If all my stuff is free and it's not worth getting a membership, then it's not worth my time to run this patreon and go through the toil of producing on a weekly release schedule, is it?
Maybe this leads to a big influx of people who become aware of me. If that happens, great. You're in the clear. Except, none of the posts were backlinked to here like the other ones, were they?
I'm not gonna tell pirates to stop pirating (impossible). I can't be bothered with fingerprinting individual assets to determine who (endless cat and mouse). I'm not gonna tell you what to do. But here's the deal: if you like my work enough to pirate it, then you probably have a vested interest in me continuing. Keep posting, take away my incentive to share my work, that's that. I'm done sharing it. (maybe not done producing it, but definitely sharing it).
That's the deal.
Being a fetish author in public, running this patreon - this is a not insignificant personal risk. If it's not worth the extra time, legal hassle, etc, I'm gone. I have zero interest in participating in a community which doesn't operate with me in good faith.
