Hey there! I've got some good news today! Some of you may have heard, but in mid-January, my game was put in quarantine on Itch. Last week, I finally received a response from support (unfortunately, it took about three months). All this time, it’s been pretty hard for me to promote the game because anyone who tried to download it got a warning message, which caused a drop in views and, as a result, in my earnings, which is frustrating... Luckily, everything is good now, and I can keep working as usual!
This whole situation got me thinking that I want to release the game on Steam. However, to do that, I’d like to improve a few things:
Artstyle (while drawing Chapter 4, I felt that my drawing skills had improved a bit, and the first chapters don’t feel quite right anymore)
Game’s length and completeness
So for now, my plan looks like this:
Improve the first chapters (mainly 1st and 2nd, and a bit of 3rd),
Specifically: redraw the backgrounds, some characters, and scenes; refine the mini-games (add Stacy’s face, add more camera angles with Phoebe in chapter 3: Richard's POV, Phoebe's POV)
Finish the beginning of the story in Chapter 5 or 6
Release everything together on Steam as SexEd Course Season 1.
What I’ve already done:
Redrawn the backgrounds from the first two chapters
Redrawn all the characters (some required more work, some a little less, but all were redone)
Made the presentation from the first chapter more colorful and appealing
Started redrawing the scenes
I’ll post a few examples of the redraws for A Students and Teacher’s Favorites today!
I plan to release the updated version (can we call it a remaster?) in May, and then start working on Chapter 5 right away!
