GALATEA - FK Interpolation Plugin

DESCRIPTION

Named after the greek maiden born of stone, the Galatea (gal-uh-tee-ah) plugin will breath life into your honey by organically animating her whenever she switches between FK poses.

The system is powered by a series of per-node custom acceleration curves and overshoot/recovery mechanisms. Together, they will make your honey's movements look as realistic and as graceful as possible without the intervention of any actual AI or animation software.

I would like to clear up the misconception that these are animations. They are not. Animations are independent from the entire FK framework and entirely mututally exclusive with FK posing.

Galatea "animates" though simple interpolation between the coordinates of two FK poses, firing only when a new FK pose is loaded. As a result, the plugin gives your honey an animated feeling, without impacting performance or requiring any complicated animation setup with timelines.

This plugin is purely meant to liven up your studio as you scroll through dozens of FK poses, trying to find that perfect one to crown your scene (we've all been there). Once you've seen FK pose cycling like this, you'll never want to go back!

Enjoy, friends, I hope that this makes your time in the studio more fun! 😁

For those who crave more control, and want to do more with Galatea, there is now Galatea Plus
