The release of Update 10.11.1 has been a bit delayed as I’ve been juggling various life commitments and working on an exciting new project—our new website, Derbylands.com. Despite the time investment, I’m thrilled to finally unveil the update, which introduces a dynamic new demolition derby driver complete with a motocross helmet, work boots, t-shirt, and jeans. This addition not only enhances the visual appeal of your derby experience but also opens the door for future expansions and customizations. Your patience has been greatly appreciated, and I’m eager to see how this new feature enriches your gameplay!
Driver Features:
1. Introduced a new demolition derby driver model, complete with a motocross helmet, work boots, t-shirt, and jeans. The driver comes with three different seating positions and is now included with BeamNG default vehicles.
2. The derby driver can now be added to vehicles outside of scenarios. Currently testing collision triangles for optimal integration.
3. Added a way to remove the driver helmet when in-car view. Prevents the helmet from blocking the view.
Bug Fixes & Improvements:
1. Fixed a startup error in the Demolition Derby The FairGrounds scenario, which was caused by vehicle deletion before initialization.
2. Added a note about the BMH mod, indicating it has not been updated and may be removed in the future.
3. Corrected and enhanced MiniMania configurations for wbod, fbod, kcar, accord, and 68Nova to ensure proper spawning.
4. Added logic to select a random vehicle configuration from the gdclasses file, resolving an error that occurred when only one config was available.
5. Fixed the auto reverse camera option.
