Nephrodites are creatures of the night sea. The monarchs of the greatest culmination of night liquid in all the Dissonance. Many say their life is set upon the flowing angry waves of this ocean. Others presume that their homes are made far beneath the depths, but no one knows for a certainty.

The gathered accounts of nephrodites describes them at first as beautiful maidens that reveal soon reveal themselves as horrifying monsters. A creature with a humanoid mortal torso and a lower body of a massive lobster or giant prawn. What masquerades as hair are chitinous thin legs, bending, reaching and clawing down behind their head from their scalp. The creature's mouth also resembles a woman’s high cheekbones, or voluptuous lips, but ultimately unfolds to a set of pincers, tentacles and sharp teeth.
