Realis is a science fiction and dark fantasy series that contains discussion of violence, injury, slavery, cannibalism and disease. This campaign never depicts sexual violence, always shows you where the sword goes but never what it does, and always airs on the side of maximalism.
For centuries. Krater, largest city on Sapryc, has endured. Flood waters from the Straight. It has endured. War with the Empest, it has endured. Annexation by the Venerant See, it has endured. But flames from above. But flames from above…
It is behind them now, the unnamed band. Mirador Cantata’s eclectic bodyguards, traveling north into a place where even forests can be wastes. The blaze behind them rendered only in brightness and heat and odor, but not color, so they cannot answer what in what hue the fire burns here on Sapryc, in its acrid air; back in Krater with the potent fuel that is condensed life..
They can only march forward. Left foot. Right Foot. Left foot. Right foot. A march, a march. On another moon, perhaps, there might be the question of ontology: What is essentially the difference between a march and parade, a march and a promenade, a march and a hike. Here, on grey Sapryc, there is only the mud and the boot and the force which brings them together and pushes them apart.
