I have quite the announcementIt has been quite a long time since I started to be late on commissions (one year); I've tried my best to work hard to make it less and less, but it seems it's not enough. I'm back at a queue list that is... quite long! Way too long to my taste.So I took a decision; after the FUREAST convention (next week), I won't reopen my commissions before I'm done with the queue. It's quite a bold move, cause that also means I won't have a salary paying my rent, but I have enough savings to live properly for a few months. I also have Patreon helping, and thank again to everyone supporting me here!Why not opening just less commissions: I've tried and it didn't really help, it's also very hard to choose between so many requests that I love, and ending up taking just 5 feels like losing a lot of clients. I would rather not open at allWhy was it not possible to reduce the queue? It's mostly due to conventions; I had 2 last year and 2 this year. A con is making me work on my personal time to do merch, organisation, etc etc. I also take commissions at con but at a lower price to try to refund the con. At one con last year I had 35 commissions & YCH total. + It's always hard saying no face toto face to a clientWhat if you work more? I wish I could, but I'm already working at the maximum pace. I'm also working on Fursuit commissions and with FUREAS (cause I'm a staff there) and like I said doing merch, all of that in my free time where I'm supposed to rest. Let's just say working more would reduce the quality of my work!How much time do you think it will take? I have no idea, a weird thing about me is that I can be very fast, but also sometimes very slow depending on my energy level. Recently it has been quite low so I'm slow as hell. If I had to guess, I would say it will take around 4 months to finish all the commissions.Are you okay? Yes, I'm still okay. The problem with me is that I can get easily stressed, and the commission queue is a stress factor, so it's also to be less stressed that I want to not open commissions until it's done.
