Hello, Patrons! My apologies for the recent bout of radio silence. It has been a weird couple of weeks behind the scenes, including a brief illness that took me out for awhile. It was Bad™ and I'm still not quite sure what it was, but it seems to be over (?) so that's good.
Now that I'm feeling a bit better, I’ve been quietly plugging away on channel stuff. Everything from administrative duties – tax season, eep! – to handling commissions and catching up on writer correspondence, to working on audios and graphics and queuing things up for Patreon and YouTube posts. Here’s what’s in the pipeline right now!

Well, I may have news about this series...
As you might already know, the writer of these audios vanished a few years back. Deleted their reddit account, took down several of their scripts, the whole bit. It was very sad! yandere_enjoyer always had fantastic ideas and I loved playing with their scripts. Performing them and adlibbing around them was so much fun every time I did it.
Listeners have asked me to continue the storyline many times, but I’ve always politely demurred. It just doesn’t feel ethical to do without permission, even though I loved these characters.
Recently, someone asked for a sequel again, but they also had a theory about the characters and where the storyline could go. The ideas it gave me were SO good they wouldn’t let me go, so I got to thinking...
Long story short! After a little detective work scouring through my ancient files, I managed to find some contact info for the writer. I tracked them down and asked for permission to write a sequel myself. They’ve been away from the community for a couple years now, with no online footprint that I could find, so I fully expected not to hear back at all, much less get their blessing.
But I got it!
Now, I don’t know how long the writing process will take; my brain only has a very loose outline at the moment. Knowing me, it'll take at least a year to get the script done. Still, I’m excited to have the chance to continue the series after all this time. I might even want to remaster the first two parts!

Original series commission follow-up to Rat Girl Janitor Demands Your Garbage!
So! Rat Janitor is almost finished, and hopefully will be out in early access tonight or tomorrow. It wound up much longer than I thought, and the sound design took more time than I hoped.
Technically, I had the first half of this thing done weeks ago, which would have clocked in at about 30 minutes. I even seriously considered delivering the series in two parts just to stay on schedule. The first half just needed a final post production pass.
But I kept wanting to add things like a doofus, and the longer I worked with it, the more I felt the storyline needed to be released as one big production. I could have cut it in half, but not only would I not have been satisfied with that, I got the feeling doing so wouldn't give it the best chance of success. While I may love it, a tongue-in-cheek Rat mafia storyline is already a tough sell, much less spread across multiple episodes!
(Also, based on experience, when I split work on a single recording across a long release schedule, it becomes hell for my ADHD to work on. I want to get it done, not potentially be stuck on it for months!)

This has been on my to-do list pretty much since the script was posted; thought I'd finally jump on it! Of course, my timing means it'll be coming out around the same time as another sheep girl... >.>
🤔New Giveaway or Patron Tier or...Something! (Maybe?) 🤔
Back in December, I did a massive Patron membership giveaway both here and on YouTube. It was an outrageous success, and I think I'd like to keep doing it every few months.
However: It did create some issues behind the scenes.
First off, when looking at your patron data, Patreon doesn't let you filter out gifted subs from the list of paying members! I didn't know this when I did the giveaway. As a result, I couldn't easily update my Patron credit list for the past couple of months. An extra thousand names to sort through was a little impossible to handle. An unexpected nightmare!
Second: to stay within Patreon's guidelines, I'd like to make sure there's no NSFW content available to any future gifted subs. That might be tricky.
As I currently see it, my options are some combination of the following:
Restructure my existing Patron content to move any NSFW content to a higher tier. (Maybe that'd be incentive to commission more spicy artwork/scripts for higher tiers as well?)
Make a specific, outrageously priced "gift tier" so I can still do giveaways and keep Patron credits properly in order.
Credit gifted subs?
Give up doing Patron credits entirely?
Something else????!?
I dunno how I want to handle that. But I do know I want to keep doing patron giveaways. Especially in the current economy,
🗒️Other Behind the Scenes Goings On...🗒️
I'm finally settling down to tinker with making a "Patron Credits" webpage that will automatically update as Patrons come and go. A single page will be much easier to link in descriptions on YouTube, as they have limited space and the list is so huge these days! This will also relieve the pressure of manually redoing the list regularly, which is admittedly a bit overwhelming at times.
If it works as planned, it might be pretty nifty! (I may even be able to filter out gifted subs automatically so some of the issues of doing giveaways will be sorted without much headache? idk yet.)
Granted, I have fairly basic coding skills, but extensive googling and light ChatGPT is helping fill in the gaps. Right now it's in the development stage, but hopefully it'll be up...someday?
....or maybe I should just give up and hire a dedicated manager/assistant. ^^;
I mean, I've already been thinking about hiring an editor just to work on patron exclusives so I can throw my full effort behind main channel releases! I'm so tired of being behind, and feeling behind is fatal to my particular collection of brain worms, I'm getting desperate! (I must be if I'm considering relinquishing control of even some raw audio and sound design! D:)
I'd love nothing more than to have a nice tidy queue of exclusives ready to go so I don't have to worry about handling that for at least a year. I've already found a few candidates for editors, I just have to figure out the logistics and get brave enough to turn my work over to a stranger 😱
