Hey team,
Happy new year. We've survived the holidays, exited 2025, and I have had another birthday. I wish I could say something optimistic, about the coming year being better, but I can't say that with much conviction. I can say we all have the opportunity to become better, and meet the coming year stronger and more resilient. The only variable we control is ourselves. Let's crush it at survival.
PROGRESS REPORT
A Guide to Flaming Out has only progressed a little, which bums me out. (I'm working on the next chunk as we speak.) Gonna pick up the pace this coming week, and aim for a February release. February is Mental Health Awareness Month, so maybe that's the optimal time for it. My collaboration with Marceline is well underway and the edit for the next Protagony has come a long way! We're aiming to release that in January [knocks on wood so hard the table breaks in half]. Also the Adventure Game Tier List is complete and we are readying to release the supercuts on YouTube. Lot in the works right now!
BINGO CARD
I considered doing a New Year's video where I played guitar and posted it for y'all, thereby a) making a video that is not an essay, and b) playing guitar in front of an audience, thereby getting myself a bingo at the last second, but... I decided last-ditch efforts were not the move. I needed to confront the realities of this year: many of my yearly projects were failures. Failure does not kill us, is not unacceptable, is not a reason to invent new activities just to meet targets. I failed at bingo. That's gotta be ok!

FILM RANDOMIZER
I managed to watch The Death of Stalin, though the review is still forthcoming. I managed just under 2/3 of the randomizer list this year, which was the majority of the movies I watched. Not a good year for watchin' movies!
I will review The Death of Stalin and I Saw the TV Glow soon, as they were the ones you chose.

Total page count is my lowest since I started tracking pages, and I haven't finished a book since Exordia in September.

GAME CABINET
I successfully hit target on this back in July, and have not moved the needle on it since. I did finally get to Thank Goodness You're Here, which I liked but did not love. Am almost done with Unpacking, which will probably get a review soon, and am currently getting deep into Silksong, which is incredible.
There'll be some manner of Year in Review in the near future. Til then!
