Hi everyone, hope you’re having a great day! I want to share some changes in my approach to animations. Before, I mostly made short 30–40 second loops, just learning along the way and trying to improve step by step.
But after finishing my 3.5 min Zhu Yuan animation, I realized I can’t go back to short loops anymore. It’s just not interesting for me now. From here on, I want to focus on longer works, around 1–2 minutes or more. They’ll still be loops, but with more variety in poses, camera angles and little details.
I want to focus more on angles, camera work, and so on. For example, I really like CrooveNSFW’s style: his work looks simple, but the camera movement, facial animations and playful angles make it really stand out. I tried some of that in my Zhu Yuan animation, and I was happy with how it turned out.
This change also means it’ll take more time to finish new animations. Sometimes two per month, sometimes just one. I’ll need to find a balance so I don’t burn out.
Thanks for reading! Here’s a small preview of my upcoming work with Shirogane Noel. Decided to try something outside of gacha games this time (btw Cyrene will still 100% appear in future animations).
Hope you’ll like what’s coming!
