Alright guys, now that we're done with Tana, I have some news to share.
Those of you who have been with me on Patreon for a while probably already know about this, but the newer members don't, so I think it's worth explaining again.
I've always had pretty serious vision problems. I've spent years trying to fix it by regularly seeing specialists and keeping up with my treatment.
Last year I had my second procedure to help correct a serious problem with my cornea, and now it's time to continue with the treatment.
The next step is a surgery called ICL. They'll implant lenses inside my eyes to permanently correct my vision.
The first thing was paying for the treatment, and thankfully that's already taken care of. I was only able to do that thanks to all of your support, so thank you so much.
Now the medical center requires me to stop wearing my contact lenses for 15 days. Yup, I wear contact lenses because that's the only way I can actually see properly. I don't wear regular glasses because my eyesight is so bad that even the strongest prescription wouldn't let me see well enough.
The reason they need me to stay off my contacts for those 15 days is so they can run all the necessary tests and get accurate measurements before ordering the lenses that will be implanted. After those tests, I should be able to wear my contacts again while I wait for the custom lenses to be made. They told me it'll take around three months for them to arrive.
Don't worry though, I won't be inactive for those three months. During that time I can wear my contacts again, so everything will continue as normal. After the surgery itself, I'll probably need about a week to recover, and after that I should be good to go.
So yeah, this whole post is basically just to say that I'll be in hibernation for 15 days. But don't worry, that doesn't mean I'll disappear. I'll still be replying to messages like always, and I'll probably repost some older drawings during that time to make up for the lack of new ones.
In short, I won't be actively drawing during those 15 days, but I'll still be around.
That's pretty much it. I like being transparent with you guys and letting you know what's going on with me. It's nothing serious, so please don't worry. I'll still be around, and if anyone still wants to claim their previous monthly pack, feel free to message me. As always, my DMs will be open if you need anything.
Now, about June. What are we going to do with June?
Obviously, we're running pretty far behind, and this little hiatus is only going to delay things a bit more.
To make up for June, I'll be bringing back some previous rewards.
Let me know which older reward you really liked or would love to see return, and I'll do my best to bring back some of your favorites.
As for July, everything will continue as usual. In fact, I'll probably post the suggestion thread during these next few days, so keep an eye out for it.
So yeah, that's the plan. 🙂
