TacticalDoodle and I tabletop a late-to-the-game Savage 1911. We kid around like we're in 2013 (Project 7 years old that time!). We speak of the also competent Ruger SR1911 and then at the end show you our (my) all time fave 1911. We'll cover the build and Savage's forged approach to most components which will make many happy. The desert testing started off a bit rough but the gun improved to 100% later. And although we'll say no new ground is broken with the Savage 1911, it's good to see them in the mix.
And for those of you who have more interests than just guns, we'll discuss briefly the incredible plywood RAF Mosquito night fighter and some other cool stuff after the gun review.
