So the scene has been rendering a bit under a week now, Finally! Roughly 3000 frames have come out (out of a total of roughly 60000!)
The softbody stuff I talked about in my last post ended up being a bust, for now at least. I did get good results in isolation, but getting the results I'd have wanted for the animation itself, would have likely added at least a week or two more to the time I'd be able to start rendering, so I'm putting those aside for now at least. I might look into them again, if I do a separate 4k version later (undecided, considering the long rendering times even with 1080p). Either way, probably something better to consider implementing for a lighter project first instead, like a mini-animation for example.
I also bought an additional 4090, to help with rendering, as I wasn't getting high enough speeds with what I had previously.
There's a small clip from some of the frames rendered on Discord in the #preview-tier channel. I won't include audio in these small snippets. I'm pretty sure the look here is pretty much final, but there's still quite a bit of time till release, so things might change a bit. One thing to note, is the weird light switch at the beginning is unintended, and that particular shot will be re-rendered for the final release.
