During the recording of an episode of the Where We Parked podcast, Kevin and Jack found themselves falling down an unexpected rabbit hole. The result is this 90-minute real-time investigative documentary, a true journey that begins with Typhoon Lagoon and ends in the underbelly of a strange subculture.
This is not meant to be an experimentation with a new format, although it will come across like a hybrid of Defunctland After Dark and Where We Parked. The reason this exists is because the progression of events was truly shocking to us. Multiple editors over the course of many months worked intermittently to stitch hours of investigation together to produce this one-of-a-kind piece.
I am considering publishing this in a shorter, condensed version, if only to inform the public about this phenomenon. I won't spoil anything here, but this uncut (still edited) version will not exist on a public platform not only because of its length, but because we discuss individuals we stumble across (most of which are still active online) very candidly and in real time.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT OR HARASS these individuals. This has been produced with the knowledge that this video will not be widely distributed, and any public version will take a different approach.
